Partly true.

But for Anandi doing what she did, here also DS and her conditioning is responsible.

Anandi was fully moulded by DS and in her control. Even after her gauna etc. DS publicly taunted and scolded her.

Anandi had suffered when she defied DS. And DS too, wouldn't be as harsh on anyone else as she was on Anandi.

So she decided to obey her and follow her instead of obeying Jagya.

Jagya would not have suffered with "other woman" also, if not for DS. DS did not let Anandi study further and be modern. She curbed her progress. And if the other woman was psycho, then it was also DS' kripa in past. Later also, instead of accepting Jagya's choice she deliberately created compare and contrast situations for Anandi and Gauri. She kept Anandi there (all limited and stifled). She did not have her take divorce from Jagya for years. And later when her own mind changed she got them divorced and got Anandi remarried!

The serial is all about undermining free will and proving that choices of Singhs Seniors are right!

Even today, if Jagya says he wants to go elsewhere for study or job, Singhs will maul him. They only wanted him to stay there, handle the hospital they built or take care of their so called karobaar.

DS had meddled a lot in Anandi's social work, teaching, adult literacy classes and even work as Sarpanch. Following her everywhere or turning up any moment at her workplace or having her do things from home under her surveillance.

The one who has controlled everyone's lives is DS. Who is Anandi to interfere in Jagya's life? Even the interference which she did, was due to orders of others like DS or Bhairon. If not for DS' crying and kasams, Anandi would not have convinced Jagya to remarry.

Root cause of troubles in everyone's lives from beginning of this serial is Kalyani Devi!
