I just caught up with 4 episodes (Friday, Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday) so I am in a completely different mood (and la la land) all together!!!!
I loved the confession scene...like, LOVED it!!! I understand why it may seem filmy to some...but to me it seemed AnSh personified! It was high time that this couple gets to spend some time together and just speak their hearts out to each other...finally they got that opportunity! Initially (on the weekend, when I hadn't watched the episodes and was keeping a tab on the relevant posts on the forum) I felt that it was slightly against their characters to be romancing so openly considering that Hottie McHotHot is a Collector Sahab while his spouse is a Sarpanchni...but after watching the episodes, I am completely proven wrong! I think their romance was shown to be as "adult-like" as it would be for a couple that is of their age an in a marriage such as theirs!!!
And the TM is absolutely right about the location being imperative! If the confession was done elsewhere, I don't think it would've been as impactful...obviously the confession means the world to Anandi because it's an acceptance and admittance (is that a word?) of her feelings for her husband, but it's just as important for Shiv who has ultimately been able to crack the shell that his wife had kept herself in, which is why I feel that it was much more important for the effects of Anandi's confession to be felt and expressed by Shiv...and what better location than the one the director chose!!!
I could honestly go on and on and on about the confession and the SR...but I think I'll end my rant here...point being, I'm once again amazed by the work of the entire team, hats off to ALL of them!!! :D
And as for their SR...I don't want it to be too OTT...because that's unlike AnSh..nor do I want it to be so subtle that I have to squint my eyes to be able to catch their expressions and dialogues...and nor do I want it to be as bold as it was in Bade Ache Lagte Hain for example (I'm not bashing that show or the consummation scene shown in it..I only mentioned it cuz it's widely known for being an extremely bold scene on televesion) ... I just want it to be as sweet and simple and magical as Shiv and Anandi are :)
Oh...and for once, I want them to consummate their marriage in their own bedroom!!! I'm sick and tired of romance in haystacks, out houses, abandoned lodges in forests, and what not! Normal couples get intimate with each other in their bedrooms or in a hotel suite ... haystacks and barns are overdone in my opinion and I really hope that the director doesn't take that route!
