I like BV and watch it almost every day or pick up the WU. Hence the bitterness of 'bring back Pratz' and 'hate Toral' campaigns did not touch me. But after watching last nite, I am kinda wondering where this is going. Firstly, when a man talks so personally to his wife and says I made a mistake, the wife does not keep staring with eyes kinda saying 'what am I supposed to do now'. That was so stupid and unnatural. Now had Shiv gone and had an affair etc that would have been a different matter. But in this instance there was no expression of love, she could have touched his face, smiled and said "Sweety, don't worry I am ok now, I just got hurt, that's all, aapne itna pyar se mujhe manaya, now I am fine". But just staring? I was confused with that moment.

Next when Shiv says will you come with me, I thought Anandi will say of course Shiv, I will never separate from you and I will always be with you, no matter what. Instead she brought up Dadisa, Masa, Babusa, Tausa, Tausi and may be even Nandu, my mind had switched off by then. What crap was that? That was very bad dialogue, very bad direction and (not to bash) but very immature and directionless acting.

Then comes this dining scene with the Singhs. Camera pans on each face, so boring. Each one is eating roti, camera close up, Basant chewing away, camera close up, I am so tired of the dinner sequences in Singh Haveli. Anandi was looking like she will start crying again, Shiv is looking like there is some disaster he is going to announce. Damn it, it is a transfer, not a mrityudand. Sorry BV I am not getting this peculiar drama. And of course CVs's favorite the uncouth Saanchi, why are we watching her?

Overall, BV is suddenly showing lack of momentum. And very bad direction.

Thanks for agreeing...finally! I agree to ur points.Honestly "bring prats" is a different thing but the show is lacking sense, story and quality. Toral is totally unaware of the character she is playing. Its visible from her expressions...she is trying too hard...but doesnt know what she is trying...if that makes some sense 😆 The rest of the cast is supporting very well but still it doesnt come out.Last night I caught a repeat and have to say the dining scene was very disappointing.Even the whole of Shekhar and Singh clan together cannot convince me they were talking to Anandi...and its very shocking.

Earlier even a scene of prats and roop seemed too convincing to me.As soon as I used to see Sanchi and Anandi in one frame I was convinced they are as different as chalk and cheese. The dumbness of Sanchi and power of Anandi made even such a lackluster scene likeable. And now it seems as if the whole cast is struggling to convince themselves that she is Anandi.A total lack of connection.

As for direction...director is coping. He cant see his inspiration in his protagonist and hence such below average episodes.

Yash do not worry yesterday was flop episode. BV could not stick to the momentum of thursday they are just building the bidai drama, you know singhs are nataunki specialist.
Just bear with it for some more days, because after this Singh and anandi will not share too much screen space.

Cvs track has lost the sense and appeal Toral is trying too hard to do but what to do ? cvs have lost the grip on track therefore neither her acting appeals neither track Jagaya is given no work these days just to stare and smile .Shiv's transfer thing totally handled in confusing way Cvs need to develop some meaningful tracks Director needs to also work hard these days direction is indeed too weak Yesterday's episode was indeed nonsense So many characters present in one frame yesterday but not a single logical discussion Cvs need not to keep in mind we have to produce 1000 episodes more they need to concentrate we have to hold viewers attention with logical , interesting tracks where actors too can shine currently cvs are wasting so many talents and viewers time too who watch show to see something sensible but end up having non stop dinners , lunch and prospective mango talks between Singhs and Shekhars 😕and Anandi's explanation to Shiv about Singhs was also ridiculous

well i agree with your point that Toral was yesterday trying hard but not able to convince us...she was looking tired yesterday...maybe its due to the Holi party and shoots...but i won't blame the dinner scene...actually it was shoot in such a way that it looks dull because Shekhars were upset and were not really in mood to have fun...only Singhs were in their cheerful mood and then Sumitra got upset with Ganga and Anandi comparision...whole episode was bogus and filler with nothing worhtful to watch...and now the bidaai drama will start...why are they making Toral cry so much and so early...don't they realize that it was this act of crying that made even Prats look boring and dull...she needs to look as much cheerful as she can so that people can accept their easily...but here they are ell bent to spoil Anandi character with buckets of tear

. . . . and I forgot what was that about Daal mei jyada masala hai? Sumi says to Ganga. Sorry, very bad and meaningless episode

@Malika: Hi, good to receive a nice post from you. I only agreed that the show was lacking direction yesterday and needed to come back to its story line. I have read most of your prolific posts and admire your in-depth writing style and respect your POV, but I wasn't trying to do a Toral vs Pratz debate. To me that debate was over when whoever decided to part company, when I have no say in something, what is the point of cribbing, is my view. Respectfully that is my POV !

i never disagree with that point...i was never against prats for her acting...she was awesome and made Anandi come out as a living person so salute to her...she was just little slow and down with her volume and that too with start of the episodes when she had nothing to do except for BV...but it that sense every actor has some or the other fault...no one is perfect...i am not saying Toral is doing an amazing job and yes she has to work hard...but then every actor has to when he/she does a new role specially replacement

Me too didnt say it from the perspective of a debate.Leave Prats. Overall the direction of BV is bad these days.Ananadi-Shiv track has suddenly lost quality and story both.Add to it one coping actor with a confused actress. A very hard to digest combination.I dont blame the director if hes losing interest. You need a good performer to bring ur thought process to screen. And when that doesnt happen u become frustrated.

Agree completely! BV has become like a rudderless boat...just gather up Singh parivar, Shekhar parivar, make food, eat food, discuss food, have J keep smiling innanely at Ganga, stretch the plot wafer thin & between all this, the one thing that worked is not working any more cause they did not choose the actress wisely. BV has lost its plot for quite sometime now, but one would think with the big change they want us to accept they would at least focus on their story, direction, plots & try & go back to the roots of what BV was really good at...a hard hitting, authentic narrative! But no...they continue to try & dazzle us with this SS family saga!

The scene you mentioned fell flat despite poor Sid giving his best...the look on Anandi's face, her dialogues, everything was so off! The premise for the whole naraazgi blah blah is also so off...who makes this kind of fuss for a transfer that too for a DC. As for the change, I went with an open mind for the change from P to T, am not for the get back P by hook or by crook campaign either, but sad to say they really did not choose well! T is trying very hard but she just can't get under the skin of Anandi, esp...the shy in love Anandi. And the rest of the story is hardly engaging to keep one glued. Thought I could watch if Sid did his job well, but the sorry scene yest sort of did it for me. Just not looking fwrd to it any more.

Anyway BV has plenty of loyal audience who will go along with however it's panning out at least for some more time & will not quit so soon. Just wish they would pull up their socks & churn out a better product in the mean time.
