Chapter 4

Anandi is looking at Shivraj with confuse face. She was not shocked infat relived in somewhere down the line. Ratan singh is dead now man who is behind her life.

Yeh Shivraj exactly kon hain? Kitane aaram se kisi bhi situation ko deal karta hain. Main isspar vishwas kar sakti hunn ya nahi Anandi is thinking hard in her mind.

Ratan Singh's dead body lying in front of her. Meenakshi looked Shivraj & goes to near Anandi. She holds Anandi. Shivraj dialed some number.

Haan…main hunn. Yahan aaye. Jaldi he ordered.

Suddenly they all hear footstep. Two Tall Bouncer type men came & pick Ratan Singh dead body from there. Anandi looked at them. Shivraj singanled Meenakshi.

Chalo Aanndi hum dusare room mein chalet hain.

Anandi gets up & Meenakshi holds her, they went to Anandi's room.

Anandi looked back to Shivraj who glare at her & dialed his mobile again.

Anandi is sitting on bed in guest room. Meenu gave her water. Nathu brings something to eat. Meenakshi asked Anandi to eat something.

Anandi main janati hunn ki yeh sab dekhke tum dari hue hoo lekin…ghabrane ki koi baat nahi Meenakshi assured.

Anandi looking down. Main thik hunn Maman main ghabraye hue nahi hunn. Lekin aap thik hain she asked?

Meenakshi caresses her hair lovingly. Haan bilkul.

Anandi smiled at her. Yeh Maman maine soocha utani buri nahi hain she thinks in her minds.

Anandi tum sunn rahe hoo na Meenu asked.

Jee Maman….Anandi picks juice glass from Nathu's hand.

Good girl…Meenakshi said.

Anandi giggled.

Aap thik hain Maman she asked.

Haan….Meenu said. Waise tum dekhati isse hoo lekin bahadur hoo Meenu said.

Aanndi smiled. Aap bhi bahot acchi hain jaise maine soocha waise nahi hain.

Meenu was surprised. Both laughed. Menu cupped her face.

Suddenly Shivraj comes into guest room. Meenakshi & Anandi were surprised to see him. Meenakshi goes near to him but he avoids her & raises his hand. Meenu understand & left room. Nathu followed her. Anandi looking at him with confuse state.

Shivraj sits on sofa near bed.

Anandi looked at him. Yeh yahan kyun aaya hain? She is thinking in her mind.

He signaled her to sit. Anandi immediately sits on bed.

Tumhe yeh jagah kaisi lagi he asked clamly.

Jee Anandi surprised with his Q. Jee accha hain. Mujhe bahar ka fountain, garden….yeh lawn area….aur back mein joh choti si hut hain na who mujhe bahot acchi lagi. Mandir toh bahot suder hain. Gym bhi aur kitna bada area hain. Main sara area ghoomke aaye she said & stopped. She relizses she told more than he asked.

He smirked at her.

Anandi scared. Mera matlab hain ki….hey bhagwan yeh maine kya bata diya isse khadus ko. Kahin mera bahgne ka irada isse pata toh nahi chala na Aanndi is thinking in her mind.

Shiv is keep looking at her. He did not say any word.

Mera irada yahan se bhagne ka nahi tha…main….toh bass…Aanndi again blabber.

Shiv looked straight into her eyes.Kya lagta hain tumhe Ratan Singh yahan kaise poonch gaya?

Jee…..Aanndi asked with confusion.

Ratan singh ne tumhare ke peeche aapane aadmi lagaye the…..tumhe dhoondte woh yahan tak poonch gaye. Jahan aane ki kiski ki himmat nahi hoti hain.

Kya? Tabhi main soochun usse kaise pata chala she said. I am very sorry abt all this. Aandi replied cooly.

Tum ek baat bhool rahe hoo toh tumhe yaad dilane ki jaaroot hain ki yeh mera ghar hain. Yahan mere izzjat ke parinda bhi udd nahi sakata aur tum bahar ghoomne chali gaye. Who bhi mere saaf saaf mana karne ke bawajood. Kyun sahi kaha na.

Anandi gulped. Nahi main woh… Jee meri wajah se she tries to say something.

Shiv keeps looking at her.

Anandi released her mistake. I am sorry….Maaf kar dena mujhe.

Sorry……usse kya hoga. Mere ghar mein aakar mere hee humkum ke khilaaf jana koi choti baat nahi hain.

I am so sorry….meri wajah se yeh sab.

Shivraj raised his hand her to stop. Aanndi remains quite.

Shivraj ki maafi itani asani se nahi milati. Aur haan yahan galati ki saza milti hain.

Anandi looking at him with surprise. Saza…..maar gaye ab yeh kya saza sunayega she mutters.

Anandi is feeling guilty putting Shivraj into all this. She broke trust of a man who saved her from being sold. Anandi unknowingly started trusting Shivraj.

At night Anandi is trying to sleep. She is having some flashbacks. She is visibly disturbed. She saw her father in her dream. Her Dad was telling her to run or she will be killed. Anandi was shocked…..she asked who will try to kill her & why? But her Dad keeps asking her to run.

Jao bata bhago yahan se he told her.

Anandi did run but stopped after hearing gunshot. She comes back & saw her Dad lying on floor….. Anandi screamed Dad……..Anandi gets from her bed with jerk.

Meenakshi Nathu Pappu all hurriedly ran towards her room & opens the door. Meenakshi…goes near to Anandi. Anandi was shevering with fear & sitting on her bed.

Anandi beta kya hua Meenu asked.

Aanndi still in trance….

Meenu try makes her speak….Anandi beta….kuch bolo….

Anandi did not say naything just looking vege. Anandi was all sweaty. She is in complete shock & more than shocks her gulit leaving her father alone to be dying. How come I left my father like this she blabbers…..I am so coward. Mujhe jeene koi haq nahi hain. Main iss kaise kar sakti hunn she keeps saying.

Meenu was cluless. Anandi beta kya hua tum yeh sab….shaant hoo jao beta….paani doo Nathu.

Nathu gives water.

Beta paani peelo…..Aanndi meri tarh dekho….Anandi….Anandi meri awaaz sun rahe hoo na…

Suddenly Meenu saw Shivraj is standing near door. Dekho Shiv…..isse dekho…Anandi beta kuch toh bolo….

Shivraj saw Anandi. He slowly walks towards her. He looked at her. Aanndi is looking lost completely. He touches her hand & Anandi comes out of her trance & looked at him.

Anandi keeps looking at him she holds his hand tightly.

Meenakshi relived seeing Anandi normal now & she smiled at her. Nathu & Paapu also relived.

Tum she asked Shiv.

Daara hee diya issne Meenu said.

Shiv gives her water. Anandi took glass from him & drinks while keep looking at him. Shivraj signaled Nathu & Pappu, they left room.

Tum aaj yahin ruke hoo Anandi asked again.

Shiv ignores her & gave look to Meenu. Meenu understands goes near to Anandi caress her hair & smiled & left.

Anandi looks at Shiv, who is busy in looking out from window.

Maine sapana dekha….isse liye she try to explain.

Shiv is observing her.

Neend ki tablet loogi he asked.

Anandi was surprised. Jee…..

Tumhe kya lagata hain ki main tumhe Lori sunaunga he said in scarcastic tone.

Anandi looking at him with disbelieve.

He turns & started walking towards door. He stopped & turns….Soo jao. Main next room mein hee hunn he said while leaving room.

Good Night Anandi mutters.

Yeh kya tha….main ghabrayee thi aur yeh mujhe……aur dekha bhi nahi peeche mudke Anandi makes faces.

Next morning Anandi comes out of her room. Nathu was passing by her.

Nathu jee she called him.

Nathu turns but he started walking again.

Arre rukeyeh…..Anandi goes near to him.She completely forgot Shiv gave her punishment.

Nathu doesn't looked at her & hurriedly leaves.

Aanndi turns around Shiv raj was passing by. Shivraj saw her Anandi smiled at him. Suno she called.

Shiv is walking towards some where.

Aanndi followed him. Suno na main kya keh rahe thi…..

Shiv ignores her completely & went to upstairs.

Anandi was confused. She looks around & goes to dining area. Pappu saw her.

Pappu jee…..aaj nashte mein kya hain she asked.

Pappu is keeps looking at her.

Anandi ignore him & went to kitchen.

It was well equipied kitchen. She roams around there. She open fridge & saw apple. She took apple & bites. As she tries close the fridge & turns. Shivraj is standing near her.

Anandi takes one step back as he was standing close to her. She smiled fadely.

Good Morning she mutters.

Shivraj is standing as his hands were folded near his chest.

Anandi looked at him it looks like he just comes from gym. Anandi is looking at him continusly without blinking her eyes.

Here Shivraj also keeps staring at her.

I said Good Morning….again she said.

Nathu Pappu….he shouted.

Anandi is looking at him with confuse expression.

Both came there. Jee Bhaiya jee….

Shivraj turns towards them. Kal Maine kya kaha tha he asked.

Anandi makes faces. Kal kya kaha tha matlab she thinks in her mind.

Jee…..woh both mutters.

Jab main kisiko saza deta hunn toh uska kya matlab hota hain he asked.

Both looked down.

Anandi sundenly realizes her mistake. Main bhool gaye thi aur khud bahar aaye she told.

Sorry….lekin maine soocha she try to explain.

Shiv ignores her talks.Nathu iss ghar mein saza milti hain toh usse poori imandari se nibhana padata hain. Haan ya Na….

Haan bhiaya jee Nathu & Pappu said while looking down.

Aur saza poori naa hone par saza aur bhi badh sakati hain he said without looking at Anandi.

Anandi gets furious. Main jaati hunn yahan se. Iss mein inki koi galati nahi hain. Main chali jaati huun she left kitchen.

Ajeeb hain yeh insaan. Kal raat ko kuch aur aaj kuch aur…….humm she balbbers while leaving.

Anandi comes in her room banging door. She was furious. She is roaming in her room. Kya samjhata hain yeh aapne aapko main koi gulam hun iski. Kahin yeh Badshah hain yeh main uski koi kaaniz. Pakka yeh Don hain. Kaise logon ko kabhi bhi kaise bhi maar deta hain. Chillata hain aur yeh….bungalow bhi…..kitana ajeeb hain. Lekin mujhe isse kya….maine kya kiya hain.

Suddenly someone knocks on door. Nathu comes with breakfast.

Jee madam jee nashta….laya hunn.

Mujhe bhook nahi hain Anandi told Nathu.

Lekin madam jee…

Nahi mujhe bhoook nahi hain Anandi said.

Bhaiya jee ka humkum hain. Aapko manna hee hoga. Brakfast kar leejeyeh warna meri naukari khatare mein aa jayegi. Aur haan maine aapse baat ki yeh baat kisiko maat batayega yeh meri binati hain aapse. Nathu said this with folded his hand.

Anandi nodded her head. Thik hain aap jaayeh.

Anandi finished her breakfast. All day Anandi was sitting in her room watching TV. She got bored. She wanted to speck with Shivraj. But she can't step out of room. Everytime she goes near to door someone comes ask her abt her wellbeing or she needed something.

At night Nathu brings dinner in her room. Anandi refused to eat but Nathu left food there & leave. Anandi is roaming furiously in her room.

Yeh main kya kar rahe hunn. Kyun hain mujhe itani baichaini hoo rahe hain.Shiv se baat karne keliye main tadap rahe hunn………..nah...main toh usse janati bhi nahi. Aur kis tarah mujhe who treat karta hain. Lekin phir bhi main kyun usse baat karne ke liye taaras rahe hunn. Mujhe usse par itana vishwass kyun hain. Kyun main usski baat man rahe hunn. Kyun…why why she mutters herself.

Anandi sits on bed. Lekin iss tarah mujhe kaamzor hokar kaise chalega. Nahi main kaamzor nahi hunn. Mujhe abhi aur musibaaton ka samana bhi karna hain yeh toh bass suruwat hain. Mujhe aapne Dad ke khooni ka pata lagana hain. Pata karna hain ki kon hain iss sabke peeche. Kisne maara unhe? Iske liye mujhe Shivraj ki maadat leni hogi. Wahi mujhe meri manzil tak poochane mein meri maadat karega. Shivraj akela insaan hain joh meri madaat kar sakta hain. Jis tarah ussene meri Hotel aur aaj Ratan Singh ko marke madaat ki.

Lekin main kaise usse maadat mangu ussne mujhe saza joh dee hain. Lekin kisi bhi haal mein Shivraj se toh baat karni hee padegi par kaise…..nahi…main usse baat karke rahungi.

Mujhe Shivraj se baat karnee hee hogi she was firm with her decision. After much thinking she slept with determind face.
