Disconnection-A clever strategy

THis post is not a welcome invitation for bashers.

After Toral's entrance.. personally I went back and tried to see all the videos of AnSh. I could relate to Anandi and Shiv up until the marriage. As soon as the marriage happened there is a disconnect in my mind.

Now that the story has finally started to move. When ever I think about Anandi ... Shiv's wife, Toral's picture is coming to my mind.

No I am not comparing. I am not saying she is a better actress or worse.
Pratz is pratz and Toral is Toral.

So please do not choke me on that.

The main reason is what many people have already posted:

1. She is more chirpy (shows a lot of confidence)
2. Seems like she has moved on completely
3. Now I do not see a connection between her and the singhs at all. That pain is gone
4. All she can see is her future with Shiv and nothing else.

For some this might be a disconnection but for me, its progression.
That grey-ish clouded area is gone. The smoke has lift-ed up.

I got the hit finally yesterday when Jagya smiled at her. Every time Jagya smiled at Anandi I used to think, LOOK AWAY FROM HER YOU BLEEP she is not yours any more!
For the first time I felt when Anandi looked at Jagya and smiled enquiring about Ganga becoming a nurse... that there is no more questioning on her looks. No more confusions. No more dilemmas

I guess this is what the CVs wanted. A complete disconnection?

Is it good or not I am not sure. Its as if asking is it good to hold on to your past or not.

Yes that Anandi was very much a part of Anandi but so was the young Anandi. There was a complete disconnection from the young Anandi to the older one.

Is this the CV's success mantra? First disconnect the audience so there is no bagage left and then build the story on top of that?

I mean it worked the first time around.

To this day I could never relate Avika's Anandi to Pratz Anandi. No way. They were like Sun and Moon.
Yes they did have common factors like the helping nature and self sacrificing quality but thats about it.
And now Toral's Anandi is like that. Total disconnection from Pratz-Anandi.

For me I think this is what the CVs want in the first place. ANd they have successfully achieved that. THe intelligent thing is to do as many have suggested... look at Anandi as what she is now... the wife of a collector, Anandi Shiv Raj Shekar.

Is it normal? Yeah i have seen this happen in real life.
SOme changes in certain people's lives that they look like they are someone else. So its not uncommon for such drastic changes.

Anywayzz.. Just wanted to share this point of view.

A Disconnection.. much needed for the progression of the story. Very interesting CVs... Very clever. I see this to be a brilliant strategy to increase the age of the show. It worked for them once and if they just put the story in proper perspective..it might just work again.

YUP SO TRUE...WELL SAID 👏
i was never able to connect Anandi with Shiv as his wife...she always looked to me as Jagya's Anandi...now she gelled with Shekhars so well like they are her own family...first she used to act with them nicely but i never used to have the family feeling between her and them

yes i do agree that young n old anandi were completely different from each other...
but aftet AnSh marriage..we didnt really get to see the development of Anandi Singh to Anandi Shivraj Shekhar...she had just started her new journey n boom ...😆the replacement...y should there be a disconnection?...like shiv said to anandi...that she doesnt have to forget her old relations but join them with new one...

I believe this is precisely why they are introducing the transfer to Udaipur track.
Lets see.. For Anandi to totally become Anandi shiv raj shekar..she needs to be around them and them alone for a while.

Suchi,

Thanks for the thought provoking 😊. I must admit that I am watching Balika Vadhu from last May so cannot comment on transition from choti A to the adolescent A.

From what I have seen everything was flowing well in Ansh relationship. But, then we got a rude shock in the form of pehla pyaar observation that A made just a day before the wedding. That particular sentence has been playing on my mind not sure why from that day though reams and reams of analysis has gone into that. For me it looked like that was a disconnect between Ansh that I knew as professional team and Ansh who were making efforts to establish their married life. Transition started albeit very slowly.

Even Anandi's realization and dream to me seemed out of the blue for it was always assumed that something big dramatic had to happen for realization. But, the CVs threw us off the track there.

Basant Panchami and Ratan singh episode: Well, CVs, used it to show case Anandi's confidence and belief in herself and this is how I would like to interpret it.

Many a times, we are not aware of our own inner hidden strengths though we have the much needed support and encouragement. But, there will be certain incidents in our lives, which reveal to us that Yes we are capable. And in Anandi's case, rescuing Ganga's kid was a turning point or rather a trigger point for her to rediscover what she earlier was. I loved it when she said - I have become brave now. Let us see how this impacts Anandi's journey forward!!

Suchi, good post! A very good one! I agree with you wholeheartedly! This is also my POV. People change over times, we have seen Anandi since she was a 6 or 1 8 year old kid. Her physical appearance, her psyche changed as she grew up but her essential nature of empathizing with people around her, be it her family or village people, didn't change. She became stronger mentally, she became quiet and withdrawn and yet could think clearly as to what she wanted in life. These essential qualities of Anandi didn't much change. Even though Anandi is supposed to be innocent, one would hardly buy it because she had seen and experienced every trauma, mental or physical, that a mature or adult woman goes through in a married life. A woman who was already married and knows and has experienced the marital relationship with her husband however small the period may be can not be termed exactly as "innocent". If by "innocence" CVs mean her inability to deal with the world outside Jaitser like mixing up with city people or learning about their ways of life, then it is only a matter of time that she will learn it! By the way, nowhere did I feel that Anandi looked or behaved like an out-of-place person while she was in Udaipur after her marriage. A woman who has tackled men like Het Singh and has understood and yet sympathized and even empathized with the taunts that people of Jaitser gave her, is certainly not "innocent", she is worldly-wise unlike Saanchi who still behaves like a kid!! Now who is innocent here! Saanchi who like a child demands that her Shiv Bhaiyya play Carom with her or Anandi who everybody seems to be saying is "shy" and "innocent" in the matters of love and marital happiness!!

@ Suchi, thx for this thought provoking post Suchi 👏

@Gauri, This is so true that we ourselves are not aware of our inner strength or sometimes are so tired of life that we just like to live in our secure shell do not like to venture into the unknown inspite of all the love, support and encouragement. Bhairav had told her once...beta, tune itna bada deevaar bana liya hai dil mai ki tu kisi ko aane hee nahi de rahi hai. 😉

"Our attitude determines our altitude in life." 😳
Now she is blossoming so well under Shiv's unconditional love and care. He stood like a mighty Himalaya btw her and her past so now she is very secure in his land and hence this new confident Aji has emerged. Rescuing G's kids and being in front of Rat's Gun she had gained new faith and rediscovered her earlier strong self. Ya, I loved it when she looked back at Ghanshyaam smiled and said ... I have become brave now.😳 Shiv's love and support are also the reason for her new found bravery😆 she has successfully dropped the walls which she had erected around her fragile dil . She has realized that she was unnecessarily putting off her happiness. Anyways, Rat's gun came at the right time and gave her the right confidence to forge ahead in life and this will only bring her more happiness.😳

Suchi, as always, very good, excellent logic and reasoning.

You are spot on and a lot us believe what you wrote. 😃

I really wish all our friends who at the moment are upset, come back and listen to reason. Avika was excellent, but we transitioned to Pratyusha. Pratyusha was excellent too, but some how in my mind she remained a child. I could not see her as a woman. Therefore the thought that she would have gone into consummation mode and had children was difficult for me. When she would see DS, her voice would quiver and get affected like a little girl's would when seeing her Naani.

But this Anandi is a grown up girl, I liked her interaction with DS and Jagya. That unspoken trepidation was not there, no baggage. This Anandi can have consummation and she can have a baby, no problem in my mind's eye.

That is my PoV, for what it is worth

Suchi...

I have only one question...to all AnShians...

If the replacement never happened., If P is still Anandi in the show., would they have not been happy in seeing this transformation in Anandi...?
Were they not waiting for it...?
Were all of them not happy., on the sudden found enthusiasm and cheerfulness of Anandi as soon as she realized that she is in Love with Shiv...
Were they not happy., that they had the child Anandi who is chirpy back...?

I do not at all feel., a disconnect in Anandi.

The story is progressing just as it ought to per me...nothing abrupt.

The joy and happiness we see in T's Anandi today is just a continuation to where P's Anandi ended.
