ITS A IN HURRY SMALL UPDATE PART-1 OF KHUSHIYAN

April 15

11:11 pm:

After five hours of labor and a what felt like a lifetime of the doctor telling her to push Anandi finally got to hear the first cries of her child. "It's a boy." Doctor announced happily.

Sumitra and Ira had hold of her right hand while Shiv had hold of her left as she fell back onto the hospital bed panting for air exhausted. Shiv was watching the nurses carefully clean and take care of their child while Sumitra and Ira had tears in her eyes looking at Anandi. She looked at her watch and smiled. "Make a wish." She whispered to Anandi.

Anandi giggled faintly. "What time is it?" She asked her mothers.

Sumitra and Ira grinned. "Eleven-Eleven on the dot." She said to her.

"Serious?" Anandi asked. Sumitra and Ira nodded but not much else was said as the nurse brought Anandi's baby boy over to her and Shiv. Shiv released Anandi's hand and took the baby from the nurse. "I love you." She whispered to Shiv just as he had a firm hold on the baby. Anandi got a look at her little boys face through droopy eyelashes before giving in to her body's wish to sleep. Everything went dark around her.

April 16:

9:14 am:

Anandi's eyes slowly opened and she was no longer in the delivering room, but a recovery room it looked to be. The lights were dim but she could make out the sleeping figure in a chair to her right, it was Saanchi . And to her left sat Shiv holding their son unaware of his wife's awakened state. "Shiv?" Anandi whispered looking over at him with a tired smile.

Shiv stood as Anandi sat herself up a bit in the hospital bed. "Morning." He whispered leaning over the bed giving her kiss. Sumitra and Ira were still sleeping.

"What time is it?" Anandi asked using a hand to rub away traces of sleep from her bright eyes.

Shiv smiled softly. "Quarter passed nine or so." He said quietly. "How do you feel?"

Anandi smiled and laughed slightly sarcastically. "Uh a little groggy, deflated maybe." She joked. Shiv laughed faintly. "How is he?"

Shiv didn't say anything as he slowly handed their baby boy off to her. "He's just fine Anandi. Happy, healthy seven pounds two ounces baby boy."

Anandi smiled as she held her son for the first time. "He's a spitting image of you." Shiv grinned.

"Yeah that'll be a plus for him with the ladies." He joked.

Anandi looked at him with a playfully. "Was it a plus for you?" She asked.

Shiv chuckled dimly as he sat next to Anandi slightly on the bed. He wrapped his arm back around her shoulder and leaned over to kiss her forehead . "Ok I set myself up for that hit." He whispered resting his forehead on the shoulder.

"He'll be handsome just like his dad." Anandi said sweetly. "Have the others come by yet?"

"Nah I wanted to give little Ansh time and his mom to sleep." Shiv said.

"You two are such saps." Anandi and Shiv looked over and saw Ira yawn.

Anandi giggled. "Well good morning to you too." She said smiling again down at her son.

"I've decided I want to be Mommy I." Ira said laughing as she stood and walked over. "And Mommy S, which do you think."

Anandi and Shiv laughed lightly so not to wake the sleeping baby Anandi held. "Whatever he chooses." Anandi said softly.

"So Bapu Sa's in the waiting room with Jagya." Sumitra and Ira said.

"And the other's?" Anandi asked Shiv.

Shiv smiled. "Others are sitting out there as well. They don't know it's a boy and they don't know his name. I've avoided them. Sumitra and Ira went out and told them everything went fine."

Anandi giggled. "Are you trying to give my DS a heart attack?"

Ganga smiled. "Actually I'll probably be doing that here soon."

Anandi looked at Shiv and then they looked up at Ganga "You're pregnant?" They asked her incredulously.

Ganga sooshed them. "Shh'you'll wake my nephew." She chided playfully. "Yeah just found out last week. I haven't even told Jagya yet."

Anandi grinned. "Well if you have a girl I already called on the name Ananya." She said making Shiv chuckle.

Sumitra and Ira laughed and smiled at her sister. "What name are you giving him."

"We have thought about this, but it's a secrete" Shiv Ganga nodded. "I've thought about it after my wedding. I always knew I wanted kids and I just got a little ahead of myself." She explained with a slight tear. "So'" She wiped away the tear running down her cheek. "How about I go get the proud grandfather so he can meet his grandson?"

Anandi and Shiv both nodded and Ganga left to go get Bhairon and DS first. The couple was silent as they waited for Ganga to bring in Bhairon and DS When they finally came in Anandi smiled cause her father held a balloon that said congratulations. "Hi Bapu Sa. You want to hold your grandson?" Anandi asked smiling.

Bhairon smiled brightly and nodded as he walked over. As Anandi handed Ansh to Bhairon he opened his eyes for the first time since Anandi had woken, his eyes were her husbands amazing brown. "What's his name?" Bhairon asked holding him like a pro and rocking gently at Anandi's bedside while Sumitra and Ira remained in the background with a camera capturing the moment.

"Ansh Shekhar." Shiv said smiling. Anandi rested her head on Shiv's shoulder and soon Bhairon handed Ansh back and the rest of their friends and family started coming in to see the new addition to their world.

Dadu heard his name and was about bowled over and he smiled brightly as he held his nephew. Mahi was stunned he was an uncle at his age. Others all either got to hold the baby or kiss his head and then they all started heading out to let Anandi rest.

Shiv remembered what Ansh gave to him as he was his first child but why now is he like that just because he his not with his mother he has mother just like Anandi.

Shiv knew Anandi couldn't be compared by anyone it was just to console himself.
