This is so not about eulogising Prat or dissing Toral.

Its about changing faces mid way without warning, without reason and at a very very crucial point and expecting viewers to just suck it up.

Anjum was going to leave and we all knew that. There was a proper planning for her role to lead upto that. And she was so powerful - if they ever bring her back - as another person - we will understand coz we know she is not acting any more. She can be another face like Sugna or Gehna as long as her core essence remains the same.

Some of us - obviously not all - as some find the replacement better than the original - feel unable to connect. This forum lets those who are trying to move on - or those who can't - air their grievances or views about it. So those who HAVE moved on - just move on !!! Why come back here ?

I can't resist the story so I come to read WU's and also at times watch the serial on recording so I can mute certain sections and FF the rest.

I find a new face trying to convery her sorrow at departing from a family too corny. She has no connect with the family so how can she be boohooing about it ? She has no connect with Jagya - no connect with anyone in fact except maybe Ganga.

Ganga I adore. She has the simple girl look on her face, the gentle soul in her eyes, her dialogue delivery seems so effortless and heartfelt. By comparison Anandi's smiles are either 400 watts for the camera or strained and her worried looks put all these frowns on her face. Mostly - I just don't feel a connect and so I feel a connect with those who also feel the same.

WE wish to say we can't see our Anandi in this over dressed new actress who is not yet able to grasp the character.

All the people who say that the show is dead because of the exit of one actress and thus brushing aside all the good work done by others who carried the show on their shoulders from day 1.

I don't think T is half as talented to do do a role that won Tom Hanks an Oscar nomination.

But since people believe that Partyusha is the sole actress who can make or break a show like Balika Vadhu it would be nice if Partyusha does a role like Cast away to make her fans happy.

ever seen a table standing on one leg??
If u break one leg it will stand but wont take any load...if two legs r broken it will fall.
BV is like a table whose one leg has been chopped off and a temerory support has been given to it...lets see how far it stands till it falls 😉
No one ever said P is an oscar level actress but she has wat it takes to be in BV...
T is not upto to the mark as simple as that..and I refuse to accept a substandard product wen I am paying for it.
And I hav full right to rant and complain abt it wherever I feel

Table needs all four legs to stand on.Nobody knows for sure how one leg is broken.

The broken leg of the table is being propped and the table is still standing.It is too early to say whether the support is effective or not.

As of now the table looks broken and looks repaired and who knows given time the broken leg with it's support may end up being one of the strongest legs of the table which will allow the table to carry far more than it did before.

It is too early to dismiss the prop that is being used as a support.

@apar - People believe that for now Pratyusha is the best to do the role of Anandi. The replacement is not working because she is not able to understand the character and the expressions sound contrived. A much better actor as a replacement would have probably caused less havoc.

My gripe about the issue is not because a Prat's fan. its about the production house who changed an actor in 3 days notice. COntracts are in place and am sure the role could have been stretched for a week atleast to give it a proper closure. The arrogance of Production House and callous disregard for viewers is my anger in this issue.

Sindhu's quote of Spielberg was to complete the sentence he said. It was no where to show that Pratyusha is in the level of Dey Lewis. Am sure she will agree with me.

Lavy - I am neither a fan of Pratyusha or T.Infact I watch the show mainly because of the story and the characters.In fact the only two actors whose performance I really like are Surekhaji 's and Shanky's .In the begining Pratts was absolutely un watchable and her expressions were contrived too.But she improved with time and she made that role her own with time.

I am one of those who is unable to connect with T and I have said that in many posts.But willing to give her time simply because I believe that Rome was not built in one day.

As for the issue of Pratts'exit from the show I really do not know what to believe and what not to believe because that is something which is not in my as in viewers hands.

Till the prop works the table will be standing with the help of other legs namely story and performances and the other tracks which I am sure will work in the show's favour.

Prats improved with time and now the story is in a crucial stage. I dont want to give the same leeway to a replacement as am not emotionally invested in her.

I doubt that the story can carry this forward. The props are just too wooden( excuse the pun)

@Lavy Agree.Story is at crucial stage.She doesn't have time on her side.

Even if it is some one as talented as Shabana Azmi stepped into this role at this juncture she would find it tough.Because this is not the time for replacing the actor playing that role.
