Shiv's covert advances

Hi,

I don't post here regularly, but I do follow BV religiously. Just wanted to know what people thought about the way Shiv regularly keeps hinting about intimacy with Anandi. I understand that it might be frustrating for him to be around her and not even get to touch her. But he himself had said that he wants her to come to him of her own accord. Then why is he not giving her the required space or time? He is being really patient, but dropping these regular hints after making a promise of the magnitude that he did, is this not a form of pressure?

Please understand that I love Shiv and Anandi (and am also beginning to like Ganga). I am only trying to understand why Shiv, who understands Anandi so well, is making it all the more difficult for her by letting her know at every given chance that he is waiting for her to begin loving him.

Would appreciate different perspectives on this...thanks.

Fair enough...I appreciate him for this. What I was referring to was lines like he spoke today "I am waiting for the day when we will know each other completely" To me, this kind of adds pressure on Anandi. I don't know if I am misunderstanding something here, but she is already guilty about this particular issue and Shiv's words of this kind are making her feel more guilty instead of bringing her closer in a more natural manner.

@bold: This is something I would love to see. Anandi trying to inch closer to a seemingly indifferent and 'busy' Shiv. 😃

This is also what I meant by pressure. Maybe he should leave her so alone that she starts doubting whether he even notices her.

Shiv is giving her enough space and time, but in a relationship one person needs to initiate the romance to keep it moving. Both cannot always just talk about work and family responsibilities. And knowing that Anandi is not even 1 percent close to being romantic, it is Shiv who is taking initiatives.

Moreover Shiv's styles are not at all pressurising. He is sometimes naughty, enjoys flirting, he is caring, and at that the same time he is making sure that Anandi also understands how passionate he feels about this relationship. He is over and over assuring her that he truly loves her and that this relationship means a lot to him.

He understands Anandi, but just waiting does not help. Anandi also needs to know that there are some expectations from her as a partner, and she will only know if Shiv shares them with her.

The way I was thinking of this was..he says he can wait, but then he drops such regular hints that she may feel pressured into moving ahead even when she is not ready.
