Tm i know u dont like anandi but tht dosent mean u shld bash something good just for the heck of it
learn to appreciate the good things...ansh hav done a very commendable work...these small things make a diff in orth odox society.
Why shld widows be treated differently ?
its not abt parampara...if paramoara is too old n unfair it shld be changed.

Well as much about your post.. you first need to know about customs and traditions.. in hindu's vaidik ritual book.mehandi are Vedic customs. its symbolic representation of the outer and inner sun. awakening the inner light.. is represent sun in the form of design on you palm. Form the start. Mehandi use it for skin decoration in india.. then slowly changes will happen and custom started to change according to new improvement. Nothing is constant. so much tradition being change in the flow of events. They were different in start and become something else in last.. so its welcome change to have improvement in your tradition to make them fit everyone in there category is surely good. mehandi was never first attach of married women symbolize.. its happen.. because people made it do the changes in tradition for there own selfish reason..because they wanted to dominated woman for some reason.. and in way of that.. some tradition our reflected same thought too.. so i think its welcome and good change..

Beautifully explained ,i also dnt say dadisa is upshaguni but according to me ,every ritual has its own beauty ,we dnt need to make out negitive meaning of everything, like dat we can why girls only have to change their surname after marrige ,y not boys.coming to dadisa ,she was very well participating in function, dancing, eating enjoying ,if she was considered upshaguni then they wudnt be allowed her to attend ,now atleast Kanyadaan is a ritual which i must feel even widow should do becoz it is greatest punya to do ,widow should nt be deprived of it,nways my thing is they overdid it

This is my first post. I watch BV everyday and am very emotionally attached to the Singh family. I loved it when Dadisa gave her hands for mehendi and Anandi said write Om. Did not feel anything was done wrong?
