(As seen in yesterday's episode, Anandi is extremely troubled by Dadisa's actions.)
'How could Dadisa have said such things about Shiv?' Anandi wants to tell the truth to the Shekhars but how can she admit this and bring shame to Dadisa's name? And what if they break the engagement? How will she fulfil her mother's last wish?
'No, these things are not so important that they can justify a lie. I must tell the truth. I cannot base this relationship on a lie!' thinks Anandi.
Anandi is scheduled to go to a gram panchayat meeting with Shiv. She decides to go to his house early and talk to everyone. When she reaches circuit house, Shiv happily invites her in but no one else is in sight.
S: Anandi ji, waise aap yahaan kaise? Main toh meeting ke liye aapko pick up karne hi aa raha tha.
A: Collector Sahab, mujhe aapse aur baaki sabse ek bahut zaruri baat karni hai.
S: Par Anandi ji, sab toh Udaipur chale gaye hai. (He tells her why they left.)
A: Par mera unse baat karna bahut zaruri hai!
S: Arre aap mujhe toh bataiye ki baat kya hai?
Anandi is very depressed as she regales what Dadisa did and ends up crying. Shiv and Anandi are sitting on the sofa. Shiv finds the whole thing amusing and is inwardly marvelling at Dadisa's guts! But he is sad to see Anandi cry. He places his hand on her shoulder. 😊
S: Anandi ji, aap please mat roiye. Yeh koi badi baat nahi hai...
A: Aise kaise koi baat nahi hai! Aap itne achche hai aur aapke baare mein aisi baatein!
S: Par mujhe bilkul bura nahi laga! Sach mein-
A: Par aapke parivarwalon ko kitna dukh hua! Dadisa ko aisa nahi karna chahiye tha!
S: Par mujhe toh woh rishta karna hi nahi tha! Toh achcha hi hua na! (laughs) Dadi ji ki jagah main hota toh main khudke baare mein aur bhi buri baatein kehta!
A: Par Choti Maa ko kitna dukh hua ki aapka rishta iss wajah se toot gaya..
S: Anandi ji, Dadisa ne mere saamne aapka rishta bhi usi din rakha tha aur maine poore mann se haan kaha tha.. Toh yeh rishta kabhi hone hi nahi wala tha!
A: Ho bhi toh sakta tha. Maine toh uss samay mana kar diya tha toh aapka rishta Urmi Devi ji ki beti se ho sakta tha. 😕
S: Anandi ji, aap kyu apne mangetar ki shaadi kisi aur se karaane mein lagi hai! (laughs again while Anandi blushes.) Mera rishta wahaan nahi hota kyunki main aapki haan ke liye wait karta na..
A: Huh? Kyu? Aapke parivarwalon ke pasand ka rishta tha, aapke liye yogya tha aur maine aapse kitne gusse se naa kaha tha. Aap mere liye kyu rukte? Aap mera mann rakhne ke liye aisa keh rahe hai na? Mujhe pata hai humari wajah se aapka rishta toot gaya aur-
S: (in exasperation) Oh God, Anandi ji! Jab main aapse pyaar karta hoon toh mera rishta kahi aur kaise hota?? 😊
Anandi's face is a mask of shock. 😲 Woah, she had thought that Shiv and she had only friendship, trust and respect for each other. But he loves her! And she doesn't, right? Or wrong? Hadn't she dreamt of him? Weren't his feelings as important to her as her own, if not more? Didn't she like spending time with him, talking to him, sharing her problems with him? But that was friendship, right? But then why did he feel different from and more important than her other friends, like Phooli and Gulli? This was confusing. 😕
Shiv too realizes that Anandi is shocked to know the depth of his feelings. He tries to change the topic.
S: Um.. Anandi ji, yeh saari baatein chodiye na.. Jab gharwalein lautenge tab dekhenge ki kya karna hai.. Abhi meeting ke liye bhi jaana hai.. 😳
Anandi is looking at Shiv with an expression of confusion, embarrassment, chagrin and shock. Shiv sighs in exasperation. There is simply no escaping this discussion!
S: Ok Anandi ji, aapne sahi suna.. I love you. Main apne birthday ke samay se hi aapse pyaar karne laga tha. Par aap chinta mat kijiye.. Main aapse koi expectation nahi rakh raha hoon ki aap bhi aisa hi feel karein. Aapki dosti aur saath hi mere liye kaafi hain. (to lighten the mood) aur aap please mere rishte ki baat karna band kijiye! Meri mangetar sunegi toh kya sochegi! 😉
Anandi laughs jerkily and wipes her tears.
A: Collector Sahab, thank you.. Main aapse kya kahu.. Mujhe kuch samajh nahi aa raha hai..
S: Main batata hu na! Pehle toh aap 'thank you' mat kahiye. Aur please, 'Collector Sahab' bhi mat kahiye! Mera naam Shiv hai, Anandi ji..
A: Par main kaise..
S: Arre kyu nahi? Shaadi ke baad kitna ajeeb lagega agar aap mujhe 'collector sahab' kahengi aur main aapko 'sarpanch madam'! Humare bachche bhi humein maa-papa ki jagah sir aur ma'am bulane lagenge! 😆
Shiv bites his tongue, thinking he must have offended Anandi with the joke about the kids. But she seems fine and is still laughing.
A: Achcha toh phir main aapko Shiv ji bulaungi.
S: Ji kyu? Shiv ji sunke aisa lagta hai jaise aap Bhagwan Shiv ko yaad kar rahi hai! (Both laugh) Please, sirf Shiv kahiye.
A: Hmm theek hai, par phir aap bhi mujhe sirf Anandi kahiye- Anandi ji nahi!
S: Ji! (both laugh again) 😃
So, that's it just an OS for the weekend before the actual episode. I wonder why Jagya is revealing himself at the gram panchayat meeting. Lets see what the CVs have up their sleeves.
