Trying to understand

In Thursday's episode, there is a scene where, when Dadaji offers badams to Anandi she involuntarily looks at Shiv for validation before accepting. I have been trying to understand the reason behind this scene.

Anandi all along who has been taking path breaking decisions in her personal and professional life, why did she turn to Shiv? And Shiv, did not have the questioning look on his face with A's question. If I had been in his place, I would have definitely asked why she is looking at me🤔 for my permission to eat badams when my own family members are offering them?

So, it would be great if forum members help me understand the scene. Obviously, BV writers and screenplay folks did not place this scene just for its Ansh cuteness 😊quotient, but there is some deeper meaning to it.
Am I looking too much in the scene or missing something here?

You might not have seen the episodes of BV then dear...Have you ever seen in dadisa's house, women sitting and men offering them something...She is just feeling wierd is all...She was even feeling wierd that Shiv's dad was doing work and his mother was sitting...It is a new concept for her...They are just showing that how her old in laws and new in laws differ, though they both are good and wonderful people...!

Only time Men prepared something in dadisa's house is Halwa, on Anandi's success...! Other than that, men never did any kitchen work or offered something...!

There is a lot of difference between Singh's house and Shiv's house. Woman are not allowed to sit and certainly not offered anything before man eating their food. Anandi is not used to such mahaul. That's why she is asking Shiv.

I think it was more of Anandi getting a bit surprised at getting offered something before anybody else because in her home the women never eat before the men. She was probably not sure whether she should accept it first or not. Shiv understood her dilemma and encouraged her to take. The meaning behind the scene for me was another example of men-women treated equal at the Shekkar household and to get Anandi see the new environment !

The atmosphere at Shekhars was totally new to her.She may have known that in an urbanised setting things like she is seen at Shiv's place are the norm. But she herself has never experienced this kind of a situation. That's why she was looking at Shiv for guidance. Like somebody pointed out if they had a shown an FB of how thing are conducted at Singhs it would have made more sense I guess.

Thanks folks.

This gesture of Dadaji offering badams first to A reciprocates the feelings that Shiv has for Anandi's rishta - Samman and Soubhagya
