The very first episode had Anandi rescuing her honewale sasurjee who had mud splashed on him and after rescuing her sasurjee she herself fell into it got nice facepack with mud

Yesterday she rescued her honewale sasurji from similar situation and got a mud facepack again in today's precap.

I can see the parallel between both situations but I am unable to figure out the significance the scenes where Anandi gets this face pack with mud.

Any thoughts on this?

She will come back looking disheveled and I am guessing that Choti Ma will point out the negativity of this or (and I'm hoping) it will become a funny nok-jok about how saasur and bahu both like playing in the mud. What I want to happen is that Shiv's family will see that Anandi does not care about material goods but was more concerned about helping someone.

Aparna - am not sure what Creatives r going. Here is my understanding. How one reacts defines ones character. Do you laugh at person in the mud or do you pick them up? When you fall then do you get upset or move on with grace? Its the little things that define us... like a guy/gal on a date may pretend to be great but, if they treat the waiter/waitress like shit then the date should see what is real and what is facade.

After some thinking I came to this conclusion.

To bring up the issue of showing kindness to starngers

If she did not come home with her face coated with mud they would not know about it.

She is not the type to talk about the way she helped a stranger.

I hope she goes on and on about the mischievous kids like she did in that first episode.I think that was the true Anandi. I am just hoping that this time also she goes non stop about the badmash bacche.

Aparna - eggjacktly...everyone would be nice to their future-in-laws, but not necessarily a random stranger. As I said our reactions to the unexpected define us.

Maybe the Creatives know that since Anandis would be in laws are already waiting for her at home - she doesn't have the required beauty prep time. So by falling in the mud- she would get a free facial and save on time? 😆

Jokes apart, I don't get the true significance either. I don't think the Singhs have any back entrances or something on those lines in their Haveli. Anandi will enter in front of EVERYONE. Whatever she says or doesn't say as she enters is for everyone to see/ hear. Given that , I wonder how much she will actually say when she sees Shivs family there.

If anything, I feel bad for the poor thing. Its one thing to fall in the mud as a child but another to fall as a adult when you are about to meet your would be in laws! She will be SO embarrassed!

Or are they also trying to tell the sasural 1 and sasural 2 that she is rooted to the ground and she is like the soil and whatever you sow in that soil/ground she will return them in 100 folds?

One other thought I had not about her facial but, about Shiv's dad is this:

For Shiv it shuld once again highlight the difference btwn Jugya and Anandi:

- Jugya doesn't help even when he's at fault

- Anandi helps even when it requires her to go out of her way for a random stranger.

I think, its just for Anandi + her future inlaws fun track.

When she comes home with mud covered face... she might not realize that the family is sitting there.

CM will give some stern looks but Shiv's dad will def. recognize her.
They might have this jovial nok jhok as to , future baap and beti have a lot in common.

SHIV will somehow find out about the vrat and I REALLYYY HOPE he gives the water to Anandi : )
