Nobody asked him to stay married to anandi, but one would expect atleast a dialogue of some sort with bapusa and anandi about her future and her rehabilitation. He never had that either.

He told her on the phone "Mai tumse pyar nahi karta, mai yeh rishta nahi nibha paoonga" and that was the end of it for him.

So when he doesnt care, what is the point of telling that he is building on the ruins of her life?

In her position, someone should be showing "my life is not in ruins, go f**k yourself, my future will be three times better than if i had stayed married to you, thank you for clearing out of my life"
