Guys I have started with a new SS.This wont be an ff as u all must have known till now that I am very poor at updating my ffs.Couldnt find time to update the earlier one as well.So i decided to keep this one a short story(ss).This will wind up in 3 parts.This ss starts with anandi's divorce completion and depicts how the uneasiness between ansh washes away gradually and they come to friendly terms once again.Hope u all like itđ
Nearly a week had passed since Anandi came back to jetsar completing the final proceedings of her divorce from Jagiya. In the past seven days, Anandi had herself fighting the biggest battle of her life. The traumatic event had a bitter effect on Anandi's health as she fell down with a severe attack of viral fever. Her family was constantly by her side in this hour of agony and breakdown. They nurtured and supported her in every possible way. But apart from her family, there was one person who didn't leave her side even for a single moment. He was constantly with her, though not physically but emotionally. Obviously it was Shiv. He had uplifted Anandi's morale on the day of divorce by arranging a video chat for her with Sumitra. Anandi was more than overwhelmed with the gesture. But she didn't come to know whose idea it was as Shiv had requested dadisa not to tell her else she will feel bad about his interference into her personal matter. So dadisa told that it was Shyam's idea. She cried a lot talking to Sumitra and shared all her pain. Sumitra strengthened and supported Anandi that made her feel much better. Later when Anandi fell down with fever, even then Shiv left no stone unturned to bring her at ease. During those days an inspection had been scheduled for Anandi's school that made her really worried. But Shiv took all the responsibility of the school and inspection in her absence. He took care that everything was in place during the inspection. He also helped Ghuli in checking the answer sheets of all the girls so as to keep the results updated that would be checked by the inspection officer. Finally with Shiv's help Anandi's school got the grant sanctioned. Though Shiv tried to be Anandi's support in this time of need but during all this phase he never tried to interfere in her matters. Every now and then he used to call dadisa and ask about her health, whether her temperature had come down or not, whether she is having food on time or not, whether she is taking her medicines or not but never did he go to see her. Internally he died to see her once. He wanted to hug her and ensure her that he would never leave her side. He wanted to take all her pain and tears on him. But he knew that it wasn't something she needed. She just needed some time to heal herself. So Shiv controlled his strong urge to visit Anandi even though the concern about her health never used to leave his mind even for a second.
TOWARDS A NEW START(part a)

After a week of all the trauma and pain, Anandi finally returns to her school. As she entered all the girls came running to hug her. They were all over-whelmed to see their anandi jiji back.
"Jiji ab apki tabiyet kaisi hai" one of the girls asked anandi with concern.
A:Main to bilkul theek hoon poonam.Par tum log batao tumhari pareekshayen kaisi gayi? Ghuli jiji ne zyaada mushkil pareeksha to nahin di na tumhein?
Poonam: Nai jiji humari pareeksha to bahut achchi gayi aur number bhi bahut achche aaye.Aur agar Ghuli jiji humein mushkil pareeksha deti to bhi hum achche number hi late kyunki sir ne humein jo padhaya tha.
A:Kya?
Poonam:Han jiji jab aap nahin the to pareeksha se do din pehle humein jitney bhi doubts the woh sir ne humein achche se samjhaye.Woh raat ko 12 baje tak humare saath baithe rahe aur humare saare sawal hal kiye.Bilkul waise hi jaise aap karti ho.
Hearing all this Anandi couldn't help but feel thankful to Shiv. Ye she was angry on him as she thought that Shiv shouldn't have said yes for the marriage but somewhere internally she knew it wasn't his fault completely. He just said what he felt. Whether it was out of sympathy or anything but he too, like all human beings has the right to take decisions for himself. He didn't force Anandi to say yes. He just told what he wanted. And all these reasons somewhere forced Anandi to give Shiv the benefit of doubt.
Only then Ghuli came inside.
Ghuli: Haan jiji ye sab bilkul theek kah rahi hain.Shivraj ji ne pichle 7 dinon mein hum sabki bahut madat ki.Agar woh na hote to main to aapke bina inspection mein kuch sambhal hi na pati.Par unhone inspection pe sab kuch achche se sambhal liya.Unhone us khadoos inspector se itne achche se baat ki, ki usne wahin khade khade hi humare school ke liye grant manzoor kar diya.
Hearing all those words Anandi felt a feeling of helplessness dawning upon her senses. She found it so difficult to remain upset with a guy whom every second person around her praised like anything. First dadisa, bapusa, tauji, tayisa, nandu and now Ghuli and the school girls as well. He surely had charms people couldn't resist getting attracted to. Anandi too couldn't prevent herself from feeling grateful for all the help he offered for the school in her absence. So she decided to go and meet him and pay her vote of thanks.
Within a few minutes Anandi reached his office. She asked makhan kaka to wait till she comes back. Anandi enters his office and as soon as she is about to knock on the door she overhears his conversation on phone. He is talking to someone in a very stressed and heavy tone. Its probably his mom. Anandi decides to wait outside till he completes. She tries hard not to listen but his voice is sharp and loud enough that she could hear everything.
Sh(on phone):Mom pls aap janti hain main ye kabhi nahin karunga.I don't understand dad ye kyun kar rahe hain.Kya unhein meri feelings ki koi parwah nai hai.Doesnt it matter to him what his son expects out of his life. My feelings...my pain...doesn't it hold any meaning for him?
For a moment silence fell in the room. Probably the person on the other side of the phone spoke now. Anandi could sense that Shiv was probably going through some family problem. But she thought that when she will meet him she will try to be as unaware and indifferent as possible. She surely didn't want to embarrass him.
After a few seconds Anandi again heard Shiv's voice. It was hoarser and shriller this time.
Sh: Ok mom I'll talk to u later. But tell dad that I am not gonna do this at any cost.
Saying so Shiv disconnected the call and came out of the room. He saw Anandi sitting outside on the sofa waiting for him. Seeing Anandi a li'l smile spread on his lips. He was so relieved to finally see her fine. Shiv slowly walked towards Anandi as he thought in his mind how to start the conversation.
Sh(hesistantly):Anandi ji aap yahan?Agar koi kaam tha to mujhe bula liya hota.Abhi aapki tabiyet poori tarah theek nahin hai.U should take rest.
A:Main theek hoon collector sahib. Main bas aapse thnxx kehne aayi thi.
Sh: Thnxx? kisliye?
A:Jo bhi aapne humare school ke liye kiya..agar aap na hote to shayad school ko grant milne mein aur der ho jati.Meri ger maujudgi mein aapne sab kuch sambhal liya aur isliye school ko grant milne mein bhi koi pareshani nai hui. Thankyou so much for that.
Shiv smiled hearing Anandi's words.
Sh:Anandi ji maine ismein kuch nahin kiya.Ye school aapka sapna aur aapki mehnat hai.Aaj tak jo bhi is school ne ya is school ki bachiyon ne haasil kiya woh aapki prerna ki wajah se..aapke sahas ki wajah se..Maine to bas ye koshish ki aapki yeh mehnat sarkar ke saamne aaye taki aap apne is sapne ko sarkar ki madat se aur bhi aage tak le ja saken. Aur jab unhone aapki mehnat aur koshish ko khud apni aankhon se dekha to un officers ko bhi yehi laga ki aapka school is grant ko har tarah se deserve karta hai.
Anandi didn't know how to feel at his words. She had been so rude to him but he was acting so sweet. "Is he trying to impress me? Does he still think about me in that way? Why is he doing this. Acting so sweet and caring when all he should be is rude to me?" the thoughts provoked Anandi to outburst.
A:aap aisa kyun kar rahe hain collector sahib?aap kya chahte hain?
Sh(amused):matlab?
A:matlab ye ki aap itna achcha bartav kyun kar rahe hain mere saath?Kyun meri itni madat kar rahe hain?Us din jo bhi hua hamare beech...
Before Anandi could complete Shiv interrupted her.
Sh:Dekhiye anandi ji main nahin janta ki us din job hi hua hamare beech aapne aisa kyun socha.I don't know aapko aisa kyun lagta hai ki maine appse shaadi ki han aap par koi ehsaan ya daya karne ke liye ki thi. Beleive me Anandi ji koi bhi ladka agar kisi ladki se shaadi karna chahta ho to uska karan ehsaan kabhi ho hi nahin sakta.Kyunki shayad hum ladke kabhi kisi ke lie itna bada sacrifice kar hi nahin sakte.Agar mujhe ehsaan karna hota to main shayad sabse pehle ashi ko shaadi ke liye han kah deta kyunki main hi janta hoon ki mere wajah se uska dil kitna dukha hai.I feel so guilty for her.I wish main uske liye kuch kar sakta. Lekin anandi ji shaadi ehsaan nahin hoti.Its abt someone's life.Maine apse shaadi ke liye isliye han ki kyunki aap mein woh sari khubiyan hain jo main apne jeevan saathi mein chahta hoon.Main aap mein us insaan ko dekh sakta hoon jiske saath main apni aane wali poori zindagi aaram se bita sakoon.Jis samay dadi ji ne mere samne ye proposal rakha,main itna excited ho gaya tha ki main ek second ke liye bhi ye soch nahin paya, ki ye zaroori to nahin ki agar main aapko pasand karta hoon to aapko bhi ye rishta manzoor ho.And I am really sorry for that.I am sorry ki maine ek baar bhi aapki feelings...aapki pasand-napasand ke bare mein nahin socha.Ek baar bhi ye nahin socha ki aapki bhi to apni kuch ichayein ho sakti hain...kuch sapney...kuch marzi ho sakti hai.Aur uske liye I really feel sorry.But iska matlab ye nahin hain anandi ji ki maine is rishte ke liye han isliye ki thi ki main aap par koi ehsaan karna chahta tha.Maine is rishte ke liye han isliye ki kyunki main ye rishta dil se chahta tha.But jab aapne mana kar diya to I forgot everything. Isliye main chahunga ki aap bhi ye sab bhool jaiye.Bhool jaiye ki humare beech aisi koi baat hui thi.Kyunki main nahin chahta ki humare kisi bhi personal issue ka asar jetsar ke vikas par padhe.
Shiv's words finally put Anandi at some peace. Though the damage dadisa had done was irreversible but atleast things were not too bad now.
Now Anandi is aboutt to take Shiv's leave when Bheem Singh arrives. Bheem singh looked stressed.
Sh:Kya hua bheem singh tum itne pareshan kyun lag rahe ho?
BS:Sir woh abhi abhi engineer sahib ka call aaya hai. Woh log nahar wale project ka kaam shuru karne hi lage the ki kuch gaon walon ne wahan dharna bol diya.Ye log un dono gaon ke nahin hain jinse pehle baat ho gayi thi.Ye kisi aur hi gaon ke hain aur site pe bahut hungama kar rahe hain.
Shiv becomes tensed hearing about the situation. He decides to visit the site himself.
Sh: Theek hai agar aisi baat hai to main khud site pe jaakar in gaon walon se baat karunga.
BS: Nahin sir aap wahan nahin ja sakte.Wahan jana khatre se khali nahin hain.Ye log bahut violent ho gaye hain.Unhone kuch engineers pe pathar bhi phenke.Isliye commissioner sahib ne jaipur mein ek meeting arrange ki hai, aapke aur us gaon ke panchon ke beech. Isliye aapko aur anandi ji ko abhi jaipur ke liye nikalna padega.
Sh:nahin bheem singh anandi ji wahan nahin jayengi. Unki tabiyet theek nahin hai aur main nahin chahta ki unhein aur stress ho. Main akele chala jaunga.
Anandi was hearing to all this. She spoke when Shiv said that he will go alone.
A:collector sahib main bhi aapke saath chalungi.
Sh:anandi ji aapko abhi safar nahin karna chahiye...aap abhi abhi bukhar se uthi hain.U shud take rest.I will manage aap chinta mat kijiye.
A:aap meri chinta mat keejiye collector sahib. Main ab theek hoon aur main iss meeting mein aana chahti hoon.
Sh:lekin...
A:lekin kya collector sahib?abhi aap hi ne kaha na ki chahe kuch bhi ho humein jetsar ke vikas ki rah mein kisi cheez ko nahin aane dena chahiye.To phir main is meeting ko miss kaise kar sakti hoon.
Shiv didn't protest much. Till now he had understood how much stubborn she can be once she resolves on something.
Sh: theek hai jaise aapki marzi.
A:aap chaliye main ghar pe phone karke aati hoon.
Shiv nodded to anandi and moved out. When anandi came outside he looked a bit dejected. He had just disconnected a call. Anandi presumed that the call was from his home only.
A:chalein?
Sh:Ji...
