The tale of a couple.

In a faraway land there lived a couple. A couple who fought against the whole world to be together. One went against his own family, kith and kin to be with the girl he claimed to love. The other held to her man like a magnet to the iron and refused to leave his side at any cost.

They feared nothing except the big, black shadow that fell on them. "It must be a beast that is here to devour our happiness," thought the wife in fear. Every day the wife woke up in fear of the beast, tried to kill it, burn it, throttle it and keep her man away from the beast. "The beast is looming outside to eat us up, do not step beyond this threshold" she would warn her man every day. And yet the beast seemed to eat up their happiness every day. They would try to store their precious happiness in a golden pot and yet, every day at the end of the day, the pot would be empty-------what was only left behind was a handful of mud. "That must be the doing of the dirty beast, that ugly wretched creature that harasses us every day," the wife cursed in anger. And finally one day she convinced her husband and together they got rid of the black, big shadow. It was a day of jubilation, they celebrated thinking they have nothing to fear any more---with the beast finally gone, they could store as much happiness in their golden pot as they want. Life seemed like a beautiful dream.

Days went by. There was no big, black beast anymore. Yet as both checked their golden pot for happiness, they found more and more mud each day. Both wondered about the reason behind it. The wife thought it must be another beast, the husband thought it was a curse. As they kept wondering about the cause, both carried on with their own daily lives.

When the wife came back from work she washed her feet in the golden pot. "I am working, and earning money for this household, I can certainly afford a little bit of luxury. Anyway, my feet are clean, washing my feet cannot harm the pot" she thought to herself as she dipped her feet in the pot each day. The husband came home at night and washed his feet in the pot too. "I am the man of the house, I should be washing my feet in the pot. Isn't it my birthright? Anyway my feet are clean, washing my feet cannot harm the pot" he thought to himself as he washed his feet as well.

The next morning they got up and found the pot muddy again. They had no idea what was happening. Infuriated, the wife cursed the beast and the husband cursed his fate. Outside a huge tree that had been giving them a big, black shade for many days had been transplanted to a new garden and the garden bloomed new flowers in its shade.😛

👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Wow, comparing tree with a Anandi! What an analogy. Anatara I am mighty impressed. I love your posts. you have a gift of writing. Haven't you tried writing stories? I wish you were in humanities, a reasearcher, then we would see many nice research papers on human philosphy, life etc. Amazing! the best part is that you hit the point and write it very precisely. I never miss reading your posts. You put things in better perspective.
loads of love and best wishes Avantika

the best ending to this would be the eventual revelation that the beast was none other than gauri's mummy 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
