😆 😆 guys, last night we were told that ..shiv is all city born and brought up..went abroad..and that he came to anandi's place to do the job..so it was better not to expect anything from him..I guess that man was rt in a way..we r also told that he belongs to a well to do family in Udaipur or (Udaigiri?😕)
Will a man all highly educated..take a decision to marry a gal who belongs to a town??she is traditional and he seems to be very forward..what abt his family??

to me..he doesn't appear like a young man to fall in love very quickly..😆he does appear to be be a hard nut..I feel he wil take a long time before he falls for her(if the CV's intend to show the track...

Depends on what kind of girl he wants...weather he wants an item girl wife or a normal traditional gril.
There are many guys who study abroad but still prefer a tradirional Indian wife.

i think mature people look at values and commonality of interests.
It is obvious from the little we have seen of shiv that he has a vast area of commonality of interests with anandi ... rural development, stopping child marriages and rehabilitating baby widows, an interest in health, sanitation etc... all of these are interests that come from similar values he shares with anandi.
Yes he has an MBA from London...but lets face it, he didnt join Goldman Sachs or HSBC bank in London after that... he came back to India to work in such settings as Jayetsar and other areas close by.
And modernity is not something determined by dress. It is something determined by mind-set.

Would like to participate in this discussion as well..please if I am allowed 😉
I agree with tinoo, all said n done, he has done IAS I presume and is happy to be working in the villages and not cities, that says a lot about what kind of a person he is, inspite of his being the so called modern person. And who says a modern person cannot like a simple village girl who is equally modern in her thoughts.

So true. agree with you. While I feel Shiv will not have any such issues and will accept Anandi as she is, may be his family especially his mom( whom he is very close to) will have objections because of anandi s divorce and history😕)

Do you think girls are of only 2 types? Either item girl or normal traditional? I think there are some who are from cities, modern in attitude and traditional in values. Looks like you think that if a woman feels that men and women are equal and wears modern clothes she is an item girl.
Well, I beg to differ from you. Its possible he wants a good modern wife.

Agreed, why he will marry anandi..he will have only working relations...we work in workplaces and does that mean everyone starts thinking of marrying at workplace...what about shiv s parents ...can he avoid them and becomes another jagya for his p[arents by marrying anandi against the wishes of his parents...Truely speaking..i have never seen any IAS officer marrying a girl like anandi in this real world..yes..there are many IAS who have girls married to them like anandi but they were married before becoming IAS...I have no doubt on the abilities and capabilites of Anaadi ..but do you not agree with me that Anadi is really very traditional who does not want o leave jetsar..study further but her for her she thinks life is only and only in haveli and jetsar...she needs to get out of the box...how many people lives with their parents in today s world because of their nature of jobs or survival..does that mean those people do not love their parents...come on anandi ..be yourself a collector rather than marrying a collector ..you have the potential ..

So to marry a collector she needs to get out of the box?

What box?

I she not the leader of that village?
Is she not the one who got recognized by CM for her efforts.
Is she not one who has educated the entire village the old and the young?
Is ishe not a graduate herself?
Fought for Gulli
Fought for phool i
And asha

I mean how many city people or modern or phd holders do what anandi does?

She is already out of the box And responsible for getting almost her entire village out of the box.
I say if collector marries her then he is the lucky one not anandi.
She is already the best she any girl can be

Bhach --
1. Yes, it is true that we all dont start think of marrying colleagues at the workplace. At the same time, in love marriages, people usually spend a lot of time together and bond because of common interests, common friends and common topics to talk about. Since people spend a predominant amount of time with colleagues at workplaces, it seems feasible that two people thrown together all the time in an office situation will spend a lot of time together and may connect and develop feelings for each other? I am yet to meet someone who developed a relationship waiting at a bus stand every day for 10 minutes to catch a bus. I do however know several people who married each other because they were in the same class and studied together...or worked together in the same office. It is not necessary for everyone who works together to fall in love, but the chances are great that two people working together can connect.
2. How many IAS do you know? Do you know the marital situation of each and every IAS officer in India? And how can you generalize? Maybe there are some who marry girls like anandi. Maybe there are women IAS officers who fall for landowners like Bhairon? Who is to say what will click and what will not click?
3. Why do you automatically assume that if he marries anandi, then his parents will disapprove?
For all you know, they may fall in love with anandi. That is just YOUR particular bias.
Parents who have raised such a broadminded son may be equally broadminded themselves. Why should they punish a girl who is divorced for no fault of hers?
4. Finally, what anandi chooses to do for her career is her own choice. If she wants to do politics, then good, she will do politics. She isnt aspiring to marry an IAS officer and never has. The way you are talking is as if this was her sole ambition in life - to marry an IAS officer. Shiv happens to be an IAS officer. It is not anandis desire to marry him (otherwise we would have known it by her internal dialogues). It is currently dadisas desire for anandi and him to get together.
5. I think anandi has more experience within her box of jayetsar to real world issues than most others who move out of their hometowns and 'break the mold'. Yes, there was a time when some of her activities seemed superfluous and redundant ... but now those have borne fruit, and jayetsar has elevated to a district because of her activities and i think we should be appreciative of that.
