so whats the truth,the names set to dat gal or the mariage,true the gal is at fault ,she has no proof to shut people mouth.bt her inner self knows the fact dat she gt maried,n surrendered herself to him considered him as her pati.god knows that she is genuine,thats wat i meant wen i mentioned abt marriage,god with reference to g.No matter wat people say abt her,she is his wife.I dnt think if was nt matter of anandi issue,people woudnt said such things to g.no matter they found it foolish,they wud stil suport her saying she trustd him,so sad bla bla

the gal isnt thinking dat she is married,but she knows the fact she is married ,she is genuine,now aasha was molestrated by guru she dint have proof dat guru is fake ,bt she knew she is genuine no matter wat people call her it is guruji who was wrong.

tanvismile: the definition of marriage changes from age to age and culture to culture. So what you call being married depends on the context. A Christian marriage is validated only when a priest presides over and declares the spouse man and wife, while a zulu marriage is complete only when the bride price or "lobola" is paid in the full. Similarly, there was a time in history where a marriage was solemnized by a mere exchange of a leaf and a betel nut. There was a time when gandharva vibaha was considered valid though there were no witnesses for it. There was also a time when a man could marry multiple wives and they were all considered as legal wives with equal rights. So to consider what counts as marriage you have to take the society and time in context.

Now the assumption is BV is a story of contemporary age, i.e year 2011 in India. Taking that into context, Jagya and Gauri's marriage is not a marriage, because in 2011 in India, the definition of marriage has changed from what it used to be in year 1700 or even in 1990. Going to a temple and getting married (Gandharva vibaha) is not considered marriage anymore. And neither law nor society in year 2011 will accept a marriage solely based on that. Similarly, the concept of a second wife does not exist in year 2011, precisely because you cannot have more than one wives at a time. If a man marries a second time without divorcing the first, the so called second wife has no social or legal sanction, and hence is denied her status as a wife. Thus, it is a fact that Jagya and Gauri are not married in the context of Indian law and society in the year 2011.


Now the case you have mentioned is a case of sheer ignorance and misinformation and all girls should be aware of the dangers of such situations. It is disgusting to see many serials and films propagating such false ideas about contemporary marriage---like putting blood as sindoor, ringing the bells in front of an idol, secretly marrying in temple, circling some random fire and declaring oneself as married. These are trash ideas and have no validity in real life or society. As I said, Jagya and Gauri can consider themselves as married, but neither society nor law will accept their relationship. And as long as a marriage is not validated by society and law, it is NOT a marriage.

Thinking in my own mind " I am married to Bill Gates" does not make me Bill Gates' wife, it only makes me delusional. Similarly, Gauri is delusional🤪
