I thought shivani was a smart worldly-wise woman but she tells gauri "oh a piece of paper means nothing -- legality shmegality -- if jagat loves you then go have your kid and the law provides all equal rights to illegitimate kids as well. so go ahead and give birth"
did we really need a mentor for gauri if this was the advice that mentor was going to give her?
this much gauri has already accomplished by herself -- and a shady lawyer would have been enough to complete any gaps in gauri's knowledge.
shivani sounds exactly like jagat - oh its just a piece of paper - legality be damned.
i wonder if there was some alcohol in the ice candy or if shivani just was talking drunk language.

You exactly echoed my thoughts Tinoo. When Shivani was talking this is exactly what I thought that she sounds like the female version of Jagat, except that her experience helped her advice a second hand car rather than a new car. In the first place having a car as a neccessity is beyond my understanding sply in a city like mumbai where the trasportation netweork is excellent and also there are provisions for pregnant women. Anyway that's individual choice.

Shivani's advice was totally based on looking at only one side of the story and hence biased too. Personally I do not agree to her views.

Really?? That's what Shivani said... 😆😆 A piece of paper is nothing... Now J-G are living in Kunda tai's house. If paper holds no importance, poor Kunda tai will be out of her own house. As per this logic the house belongs to Dr. couple as they are living in it. It doesn't matter who is the owner of the house in the paper, as long as you live in it is is yours... 😆😆 There are total 4 people J-G and G's parents. Poor Kunda tai... I sometimes wonder if the writers of this serial have changed.

Completely agree tinoo!

You see, Gauri did not tell Shivani about what A did for J or JA relationship - even if we consider that J never loved A and the "love" was influenced by conditioning, but still for their 16 year relation, A deserved much better treatment than what he did to her.

It's quiet natural for Shivani to think that J has been tied in a marriage thrown upon him in childhood and G is his choice

But whatever might be case, I was surprised too when Shivani just ignored the legality factor of JG relationship 😕

Shivani only knows half a story, only gauri's side not cruelty her so called loving husband jagat inflicted on anandi..
Also her judgment is clouded because of losing her own loving husband in bomb blast and her unfulfilled desire to have his kid..So her advise is based on her own missed opportunity in life...🤔

@pjyo - i understand her point about the kid - that no matter in what mess JG relationship is , gauri should have the kid because the kid will have the right over his father's family and his property

But the way Shivani presented it - was quiet odd. She seems to be suggesting that even the illegality of JG relationship does not matter at all - but it is very important for JG to have a legal relation na!

Now I really started hating this serial which was one of my favorite. First they had shown Gauri-Jagya's marriage and there is no come back, I always liked Jagya and Anandi together but after Jagya's illegal marriage, this serial is just going on showing that getting married with other girl is ok because they love each other without any legal separation with legal wife. Serial has become senseless. That Shravan character is horrible if they have found for Anandi. I really hate to watch this serial nowadays...I always want Jagya and Anandi back..

@doyelpakhi i don't think this kid hav any legal rite over DS & bhairons property & land as its created by DS only & not ancestral & she has the rite 2 give or not 2 give that rite 2 JG's kid. no court can force her2 do or give rites 2 JG's kid!!
@tinoo i was also surprised by hsivani's advice & legality a piece of paper. wta type of mentor is she??😕😕even pooja bedi whos so modern & 2-the hell wid-the society type attitude woman never gave such stupid advice 2 the women write in the prsnl column of Femina. wenever such jg type of cases she read her advice is like that the man is not worth trusting & women shud get away from such type of men!!
but here in BV Cvs've gone one step ahead 2 even western society & ppl where relationship breaking & live-in r much more common than in India!!😆😆

Can't resist this comparison-Two mentors:

Teacherji; rooted in moralistic idealism but sensitive to the practical aspects.

Shivaniji: Practical and wise but superficial when ethical aspects are being dealt.

Teacherji: Opposes the Family practicing ill customs, but quickly recognize just uprightness of the same family when on trial between blood relation and alliance. A perceptive and sincere mindset.

Shivaniji: apparently advising patch ups but easily ignores the foundation cause of the breach. When she knowingly disregards legal aspect, it no longer remains a case of half advice based on half knowledge. For she now knows an injustice has been meted out somewhere. So what she advises is a convenient shortcut or even a glaring lacuna- hope she'll cover this later on. (By the way, isn't that piece of legal paper the one, which holds an available lending ground for both in doubts? )

Are these two mentors manifest alter egos of their respective proteges?

Ofcourse it's important but these 2 would be parents are not getting the importance of it...
shivani perspective is different because she isn't looking at it from legal illegal angle, she imagines her life would have been happier today had she chosen to be a mother without prioritizing her career,it's more about how death of husband changed her viewpoints on life, legal illegal matter only if there is life ..🤔
shivani presented a different perspective and gauri accepted it quickly ,but if again confronted by jetsar family or taunted by her mumbai colleagues or kunda tai she will go back to feeling insecure...
