I don't understand Anandi

But, when it comes to her own personal life, she is so passive and listens to everything (especially when dished out by Jagya & Gauri) quietly and lets them walk all over her. More than that, she lets everyone in the family (haveli) and her friends fight her battles for her.

I would like to see an issue on the show that parallels her own problems (i.e. a child bride who gets pushed aside to make way for a second wife) in the village and see how she fights that. If she fights it to get justice for the child bride, then she is a hypocrite for not taking a stand for herself in the same situation (i.e. how can she advise others and lead them to make changes in their lives when she is not willing to do the same for herself?). I wonder how she would handle it.

I've been watching the show off and on (I keep having to stop temporarily when the Jagat-Gauri story gets too irritating), so I'm not sure if they've addressed a parallel story. If they haven't, then I would really like to see it to see how Anandi handles some other girl being in her exact situation. If it has already been done, could someone please tell me what happened?

BTW, Jagat's character is a SCUM! How can he be so happy with Anandi on the phone about the baby after what he's done to her and after the way he used her & cast her aside & humiliated her when she broached the subject of a baby... He is completely living in his own little self-absorbed La-La-Land where he thinks he is the center of the universe and everyone will always be happy for him (even if he's destroying their lives & bringing pain to them over and over again) and Anandi enables him.

I'm also not sure of what Gauri is going to do about the pregnancy. It shows that she is unhappy because it will affect her career. But, a part of me feels that she may try to use it to hurt Anandi more & to try to finally get acceptance from Jagya's family. Also, I wonder if she will try to use the pregnancy to legalize her marriage with Jagya (i.e. blackmail him into divorcing Anandi) since the baby will technically be illegitimate, right?
