why did jagya lie on the court document?

In the court document to obtain marriage certificate -

I dont understand why jagya lied about being single.

He is a habitual liar, we all know that.

But here did he think that he genuinely was NOT married because the child marriage was illegal and did not count as a legitimate marriage... and therefore he claimed he was single (in his mind this was a truth?)

Did he think he was married and lied as is his usual habit? (in his mind then clearly this was a lie?)

The reason I ask is because verbal lies cannot be caught that easily ... but something on paper is always traceable. So would he not have been at least worried about an on-paper lie?

jagya kaa dimaag gaya tha tel lene

he could have asked boss meri child marriage huyi thi , ab batao mein kyaa likhoon, but no , they say half truth is more dangerous than a lie😆

it fits so well in jagya case😆😆

In my opinion i think he lied because he did still think of himself married to Anandi and knew very well that he would not have been able to get married to Gauri if he stated that he was married.

Honestly if he really loved Gauri he would have checked the law did what was needed, which would have showed Gauri that he actually wanted to be with her and not Anandi, but like always he took the easy way out.

J is a liar ... he knew the court wudnt give him permission to marry G if he wud state the fact that he was married ( child marriage or otherwise) ... so he conveniently hid his married status ...
