agree with you divmath, child marriage is bad. but doesnt mean they are not successful. Our grand parents and their parents got married as children (atleast our grandmothers were children). but their marriages were very much successful. all child marriages were successful in the past. BUT (a very imp word BUT) because the women kept silent. because they suffered all humiliation and injustice meted out to them by their mother in laws or their respective dadisa's in silence.
they may show jagya - anandi's marriage also successful, but Anandi demanding her rights. Showing Dadisa that this is the modern world and she has every right to be educated as her husband. And showing jagya that even if she is his Beendni, she will not take things lying down, especially infidelity. And jagya being forced to give up his love for Gauri because he is already married, which too is a bad effect on his mind.
Child marriage was all over India in the past. Infact all over the world. there are some places i know where its is still prevalent. And thou they may have been successful then, they may never be now. The world has gone forward and women too are bold and educated enuf to choose their life partners and that is the msg this show should send.
But if like u said, they show anandi - jagya's marriage breaking up, i will feel very heart broken.ðŸ˜
Any marriage doesnt break without affecting the husband and wife. and this marriage breaking up will affect anandi and Jagya (yes it will affect jagya. very badly). who knows, they may show our anandi jagya parting ways, and then come back to each other and getting married as consenting adults.😛 i'll never stop hoping.
