Bhairon and others, (I did not see the episode) will have to do more than just giving up their meal and leaving the dining table............ Strange form of protest!!!!!!!!!!😉

I think the character of Sumitra is purposely portrayed as a dutiful daughter in law who gives in to Maasa from the start. Years of conditioning are difficult to give up however much it irritates us.

That is why Gehna as the complete opposite being strong with a mind of her own, although in no way to be faulted as a daughter-in-law, can be appreciated that much more.

Anandi is now in a state between the characters of Sumitra and Gehna. I hope and think she will in fact follow Gehna's principals more than Sumitra.

Sooner or later the Sumitra will realise the need to change and I hope😕 that will be sooner than later

no tw ppl are the same. so not into comparing the beendnis of the house. but still, i get a feeling that the air in the haveli has turned too negative. looks like ammoos' thread saas bahu aur sazaa has got a new meaning in this household. wonder why all the blame has to fall on the beendnis only. when jags left, its anandis fault. when basant fails as a huband its gehnas fault, when bhairon revolts, its sumitras conspiracy. and what about maasa? doesnt look like she is tht very submissive to her jethji either - if she believes in safe guarding the culture, the same rules need be applicable to her too ryt?

and as pointed out by groucho - thts a strange way to react, but looks like the male members of this household knows only one way of revolt - the satyagraha way 😉 really, havent we seen that sooooooo mannnny times??

There is a lot of reasoning in your point. This serial has flip flopped about the men in the household.

Basant - Most of the time has not ever supported Gehna except for a short duration during the birth of his son and when Gehna left. His immense love for her was to try and marry her off to another man. Commendable but not in character with who he is. Rest of the time ''Mama's Boy'' The angry young man act is getting too boring for words.......... for me.
Bhairon - The sensible one - has fought on a number of occasions for right over wrong but of late, I don't know what is happening to him. He is just sort of keeping peace but not really fighting for any rights.
Jagya (now) - Took on Maasa for Phooli ( and rightfully), Thausa for Sugna but cannot see the treatment of Maasa on Anandi. What is this selective awareness????????
Mahaveer - Now there is your enigma.....What is he doing there?? I would really like to know. Speaks out against Gehna when he does not know the story. Believes Maasa when she makes up stories. He is actually living in that household, can he not see what is happening.......Is he blind or deaf??? Strangely one short meeting with Thausa and he knew that Thausa was not to be trusted. His role,at present, is undefined and irrelevant for me unless he takes some stand.

So, I guess now we will have many episodes of the ''torture of the beendni's'' till someone stands up to Maasa. And what is with the promo of her putting her glasses down before she goes into her battle mode. Have the cv's cured her eyesight???😉

@sudss great points.. If women are responsible for whatever happening with the males then isnt massa and her fate responsible for what happened to her husband and isnt her upbringing a failure because Bhaiorn listens to his wife and isnt her sanskaars waste when Jagya stood against her..
Massa is one namoona who can never change and even think other wise...
