Maasa narrates her past
Maasa returns home from the temple to see her sons and DIL's assembled in the living room. Bhairav angrily tells everyone how he could not locate Khajan and that they were in a very sorry state somewhere. He blames Maasa for their misfortune and says that if she had helped Khajan, this whole situation could have been avoided. Maasa is unaffected and says that she doesn't care about Anandi and her parents. Bhairav angrily tells her that Anandi is Jagya's wife and they cannot ignore her. Maasa says that they have no relationship with Anandi and as for Jagya, she would get him married again.
Maasa's sons are appalled by her words and stand angrily. Bhairav is very upset with Maasa's indifference. Basanth too questions Maasa. Maasa tells him that she got Anandi home thinking it would help a poor family, but after what she did, Anandi and her family need no sympathy. Bhairav is super mad and tells Maasa that he cannot live with her anymore since she is heartless and blind. He asks Sumitra to pack up their things and get Jagya so they can leave. Sumitra tries to go inside. Basanth stops them and pleads with them to not be hasty and to reconsider their stance. Gehna supports Bhairav.
Maasa tells Basanth to let Bhairav and Sumitra go. She tells him that he and Gehna too can leave if they want to. She does not need anyone. But before leaving, they should all know the truth....the truth about Mahavir Singh. Bhairav asks her angrily who Mahavir Singh is. Maasa tells him that he is her arch-enemy and Bhairav's own thausa. Everyone is shocked to hear this. Maasa says that mahavir is her husband's elder brother. She narrates all the happenings in Mahavir's haveli, after her husband passed away...about how Mahavir tried to rape her and she fled in the middle of the night with her sons. Bhairav and Basanth are shocked to hear the past. Maasa continues to narrate her past...
A good samaritan helps Maasa the night she escapes from Mahavir's haveli. He files a complaint the next day at the panchayat, with Maasa's rape accusation. Mahavir denies having attempted to rape Kalyani Devi. He tries to turn tables on her by accusing her of trying to lure him into an illicit relationship for the sake of money. Kalyani asks the panchayat to believe her as they already know what kind of woman she is. The villagers agree with Kalyani and support her. The panchayat forces Mahavir to sign an apology letter. Kalyani declares that she will not live in that haveli anymore. She does not even need any money or property. She only requests to take some personal items from the haveli with her. The panchayat agrees...
Cut to the present, Maasa cries after narrating her past. Her sons look at her with shock and anger while the bheendnis cry and look at Maasa with sympathy.....
Precap : Basanth takes a shotgun with him and walks out of the house. Maasa and the others are unsuccessful in stopping him. Basanth enters Mahavir's haveli. He points his gun at him and is about to pull the trigger....
