The emotional attachment to a child comes when you have some feeling for the man that you have had sex with. In this case, Gehna has only animosity, no love is shared between the two.
I am also a mother of two and I can assure you no one in the right mind would say they are anti-life. I kind of don't approve of the word people who are against the abortion use, it is as if they are pro-life and every one who is for the rights of woman are against life in general....I am against indiscriminate sex outside marriage and young kids getting pregnant and aborting indiscriminately. I hope most people are like me. But when a girl/woman becomes pregnant, and if she does not have the support system, she is abused by her family, she is not in a mental state to care for the baby and carry the baby for nine months, a woman should have the right to have the baby aborted without feeling guilty and or being branded emotionless.
I agree with lovablewinz - the emotional state of Gehna is very fragile, I don't think she is in a state to bond or think about the baby....she has this enormous hatred for dadi-sa and she feels that she has been given a death sentence...so her not showing emotion is plausible.
