Based in this and what 2015 told about Bhavna and bhairu my guess is they had come to colony before perhaps as alien form or some random form and seen colony ppl.

As a child I was fond of reading Nancy Drew hardy boys five findouters all of those mystery stories so my mind goes in detective mode many times

Same here sumi and di I like to read the famous five. Secret seven .. so many time kuch zyada hi thinking start hojaati hain ..plus abhi currently reading rain in mountains by Ruskin bond...and few more in line...
