Monika is anna's friend.Actually I feel she is brought only to make anna realize her love for sharad.

For Sharad or for Manav ? I mean she is Manav's Gf isn't it ? I thought Monika said she has some work with Manav.

Anna is no more in love with manav. She loves sharad but hasn't realized it yet.

Actually few episodes back anna was talking about sharad to monica.Monica probably realized anna's feelings for sharad so she told anna that she loves sharad.Anna denied it because she's confused about her feelings for sharad and manav. I think monica I'd brought in the show only to clear anna's confusion and make her realize her love for sharad.
