Failing to understand Ghotala's logic or rather writers' logic

I mean i totally understand that writers have to mold the story according to their thinking but when all of the society people came to see Angel after she was 'cured' by Hemant why did the Ghotalas opt not to go?? I mean, am I missing something or what? They could atleast have gone there and not face the wrath of other members of the colony unnecessarily.. what was the point? Yes the writers must have thought something to as per their story going forward but seemed illogical to me.. views anybody??
