It's regressive, it has
characters that are all over the place and it has a story
that has been meandering from the word go; well, we are
talking about Badi Devrani on &TV that is juvenile and
boring.
The show is all about Vibhor (Mudit Nayyar), Reeti
(Megha Chakraborthy) and their marriage that's more of
a joke.
You have a girl, Reeti, who hails from a well to do family,
is an MBA and a girl of today, but is forced into a loveless
marriage. To add to all this, Reeti's family has hidden the
fact that she is professional from Vibhor's family. Are we
living in the 70s. Oops!!
On the other hand, we have Vibhor, who is as aimless,
has got married for reasons that he even does not know
and is so juvenile that he gets taken in by a random
online teacher to help him clear his MBA exam. How cute
and dumb is that.
Anyways, moving on, if all this was not enough, we have
Bilashi (Daya Shankar Pandey), who is the son-in-law of
the house, but is behaving like an old, senile and horribly
negative mother-in-law. Why make a man do all this,
when you are a brigade of women just standing there
doing nothing. How dumb is this.
There are sequences wherein Reeti's sister Divya's
(Ekroop Bedi) drink gets spiked, all the women of the
house wear glares, there is a huge showdown when a
small closet has been ordered by Reeti without taking the
consent of the family and this creates a huge furore in
the house; well there are incipit scenes after scenes that
actually don't make any coherence.
In all of this I don't understand why is Reeti so helpless
because neither she has poor nor is she uneducated and
given a change she can very well be financially
independent. Anyways, lets not get into logics cause
rather are none.
All in all, Badi Devrani is full of paper characters and
logics that are all over the place.
