Dear Priyansh and Namita,
I don't want to start on how and why the show is ending, it is the truth which we all have accepted now. So, I would like to tell you just how much I love you both and the show.
One Sunday evening in August as I was really tired and drained out with my work issues, I stumbled across this absolute beauty and couldn't stop myself from falling in love with it almost immediately. The reason? Well, this was the first show in the recent times where the male lead, despite carrying a baggage was not constantly moody, was trying to improve the situation rather than constantly crib about it and use that as an excuse to be obnoxiously rude. Yes, this show's male lead had a variety of shades and nuances to him and despite being shown so heartbroken, evoked respect and not sympathy. This was the only show in recent times where the female lead was not some know-it-all goody-two-shoes, but in fact a very real, relatable person, with tremendous flaws, whose only aim in life is to try to be happy. Isn't that what every single one of us ultimately wants?
So began the journey of Abhishek and Meera and it was inevitable that they should connect with each other so instantly because for Abhishek Meera was someone who wouldn't judge him for not shouldering his responsibilities, where he could rest in peace, who would comfort him so completely and absolutely and inspire him to be himself, to be selfish and to think of what he wants for himself. For Meera, Abhishek was someone who would accept her the way she is, without expecting her to improve, but rather let her choose her own path and just hold her hand by her side. She is the stable mountain to his busy life, she might not be stable herself, but her love for him and for everyone she considers her own, is more stable than a rock. He is the soft mud and stones that helps her carve her own path at her own pace, in her own way- her life, not unlike the river, doesn't need a wall that stops the flow, but rather someone that guides her way through it all.
Then ofcourse, it was not at all difficult to fall in love with you two absolute cuties...from the social media updates to the interview bytes and segments- you guys made it impossible for me to not love you. You should know at this point that you both are actually younger to me and I have seen many young actors being absolutely careless about the way they carry themselves, the way they give interviews and this is where you both came as a breath of fresh air. I was absolutely impressed and awed by the way you both put forth your point of view, with such articulation, frankness and yet, in a way that wouldn't come across as rude or arrogant. Much love and hugs to you both for that. So many times when we felt that the story wasn't living upto our expectations, it was you both that kept us connected to Abhi-Meera.
Priyansh- I hadn't heard of you before BBKD and after watching you here, I went back and watched your old show and I was stunned to see how effortlessly you have pulled off two diametrically opposite characters such as Abhishek and Titu. I was awed by just how much effort you have put into Abhishek, because as a person you seem the complete opposite. The impressive amount of shades that you have put in that character, the way you emote with your eyes- you are such a fine performer, it's a delight to watch you onscreen. Also admire your views about shows, I hope your zeal and energy to do something different and worthwhile stays.
Namita- Where do I even begin about you, you absolute cutie? I don't know how you do it all - you manage to ramble on endlessly, gush about Abhi-Meera and priyansh without any filter at all and yet, you manage to be so thoughtful when asked about social issues and your own thoughts and opinions about things. You are a perfect package- you have grown as an actress tremendously in this show, the Meera in the beginning of the show and the one that will get married to Abhi has also grown with you and that is ALL your doing. If it was another actress playing Meera, I don't think I would have even liked the character as much. And yes, don't ever again say that you have no fans, because you do...and they will just keep on growing!
A word to ALLL the actors on this show- you guys BECAME the character, were such great supporting actors to Abhi-Meera, especially all the cousins, so adorable and endearing you lot were! Don't be sad that the show has ended, be happy that you got to be a part of something so amazing.
A word for the entire crew- you guys are rockstars! The cinematography of this show is one of the best I have ever seen.
Yes...the show was never meant to gain TRPs, nope...because while the TRP earner shows are all about glamour and no connect with the audience except for random hot scenes here and there, this one directly touched our hearts and it will stay there, forever...I am sad the show is ending, but so much more happy that I watched it and loved it and I feel sorry for those who were unable to experience it. Thank you so much for the wonderful journey, this beautiful experience.
