Hello, this is Rose and I wouldn't claim to know anyone here because I don't. OG BALH was more than special, it was something I watched with my mother and while Shivaay had charmed me and I was aware of Nakuul and Disha's chemistry from PKDH, I didn't want to start with BALH2. I had watched PKDH but forgot about it sans that scene when Nakuul brought back Ayesha, his desperation and Ayesha's frustration and drama of fainting remained crystal clear. So, I knew BALH2 would be good, I just knew and I didn't want to start on it because I was drowning in another world at that time. I wouldn't even have had patience, honestly. Being a binge-watcher, I tend to skip more than I watch. And then assignments happened, and in order to cope with its stress I turned to BALH2.
It's an addiction indeed, for the past few days I stopped doing everything except sleeping in order to catch up with it, while the feeling of doom in my heart grew because I was aware show is getting ready for a leap, all the while, Ram and Priya as I came to love them are being destroyed. Post-leap Ram is more Shivaay for me, and I can't deal with that because while charismatic as anything this isn't why I signed up to BALH2 for. Priya is well... I have so many feeling about the recent track, and I don't think quite as intense as of those who followed this journey since the start. For me it's a heartbreak, still, because while many are done with the show I have just begun it and I need more of Raya. It's with the awareness that I am not going to drop it, at most keep myself on hold for a month or two to check up on the tracks, that I write that I have been late, as always, and missed out on the foundation of something beautiful.
For my own closure, and to ensure I am able to wait for a month or two I have jotted down outline to a fan-fiction I will never write, but here it is with the disclaimer I don't have any idea what happened post-Priya's confession, what was exactly happening with each individual character just before the leap besides the general idea. Anyways, here they are in order of the chapters-
1. Now, first of all, I want Priya to be a single mother and Pihu to be under no misconception as to who her other parent is. On the other side of the things, Shivina isn't dead but comatose. Priya is away from Mumbai after the court agreed whatever happened was an accident with Shivina. It's with this groundwork that she decides to bring up her child away and alone.
2. The only thing is just as Pihu is nearing that age to actually start her formal education in the first standard, Meera maa's health starts failing and Sara and the other girls beg her to come back as this is what their mother wishes for, agreeing that Ram doesn't want anything to do with their family besides Ishaan (who's abroad), he would never know what happened. Priya is reluctant, and aware of the toxicity, but it's her family and in the end, gives in.
3. On the first day of her new school Pihu is bored of waiting for her mother and decides to go back by herself when she almost comes under Ram's car who was on the call and has to listen a lot from Pihu. He also tells her what she did was wrong by not waiting for her mother, and drops her back at school where Ram can't see who is the mother, Priya here is going crazy, she just got selected for a job but the interview ran late and now she doesn't have her daughter here. When she finally sees Pihu, she blesses the man in her heart who convinced her stubborn daughter to see reason.
4. Of course, no one could have predicted that Ishaan for his college decides to return to India and also wishes to right some wrongs. He first has a meeting with Mr Kapoor, who amid his busy schedule still finds time to meet with this young guy. Just as he's about to confess, Priya maasi calls him. And cut to a conversation with her aunt who refuses to let him divulge the same to Mr Kapoor.
5. The institution that takes on Priya receives funding from Kapoor's subsidiary, it's their silver jubilee soon and Mr Kapoor is invited there. A semi-formal function, and due to all the changes Pihu is extra clingy. Overwhelmed both Mr Kapoor and Pihu find solace near an open window. Due rain-talks. Again Priya and Ram miss each other.
6. There's a change in Shivina's condition, Ram is at hospital. Priya faints because overwork and her colleagues bring her there. Priya and Ram come face-to-face. And not a single word exchanged, Akki who had just flown in leaving a shoot in middle because he also received the news that Shivina's condition is fluctuating reached just then. He takes Priya away.
7. Akki comes down while Ram is away and try meeting his wife. Shubham doesn't allow so. Ram considers it, and in the end takes a turn to meet him and talk about Shivina. It's Pihu's birthday, and just then she's returning after shopping with Sandy and others. Surprisingly, Priya just reached, and Sandy-others couldn't stop Pihu from conversing with Mr Kapoor, it's mid-conversation she notices her mother and rushes to Priya disclosing what happened. Things happen, Ram wishes Pihu happy birthday and Sandy-Sara take her away.
8. Cut to a conversation where Priya insists Pihu is her and Krish's daughter. Without precursor, and that leads to an argument, because Ram is provoked now. Pihu's birthday party, and it's next day they receive a courier which is a gift for Pihu basically. Pihu insists on sending him a thank you card and Priya tries and tries... But in the end circumstances force her to be there and hand-over the card to Mr Kapoor herself, physically.
9. Ram has a meeting in London, he runs in on an interesting scene pertaining to Krish and has questions. Then there's Ishaan who overhears and now knows what his father did, and the guilt is just too much. He keeps on pondering.
10. Brinda calls Ram to inform Shivina has opened her eyes, all the ideas to confront Priya go out of the window. He's there and has to wait because Akki is in middle of a hear-to-heart with her. That's what Shivina wanted, Shubham and Mom confirmed. It's near chemist that he over-hears Priya's conversation with Pihu, as the younger of the two insists on taking all the medicines for a minor cold of Priya's.
11. Shivina upon hearing it was Priya who was held responsible dizzy from medicine remembers it wasn't her. Just as she's about to take Ishaan's name, he basically evades hospital's VIP ward security to reach the place. Akki looks at him, tries to take him away, first silently, and then insisting that's what Priya wanted but to no avail. He blurts the whole thing.
12. Shivina narrates the whole incident to her family, and it becomes clear that Priya took blame to save Ishaan. But there's one more lie, and it's because of that he visits Meera maa's place for first time in ages. He meets her bed-ridden self, and talks to her. But Meera maa's voice now wobbles and before she could complete her thought. Priya who had been informed and was sleeping is called out.
13. The scene cuts to a private conversation between Priya and Shivina. Shivina holds her decision to whether she wants to convict Ishaan or not, and on Priya's insistence agrees to convince Ram of the same. Ram has picked Pihu up from school because Ram remembers Priya agreeing to let him be part of her life after a soulful monologue from him. So, it's father-daughter bonding period.
14. Priya wants to confront Ram because he revealed to Pihu that he's her father. And they get stuck in the lift, because Ram is coming down and Priya enters and closes the lift and then notices Ram. They both have things to talk about, and argue about, basically. Pihu is angry on Priya and what is she supposed to say, but Ram has a bigger card because Krish told him truth.
15. 'Agar mujhse pyaar nahi tha to keh deti maine tumhein baandh rakha hai, tumne jhoot bola... Hamari-hamari beti pihu se door kar diya mujhe.' Priya remembers Nandini's words, and just as lift opens Ram comes out to find signal on his phone and there are many missed calls from Shubham and his friends. Akki and others on this side have been trying to reach Priya.
16. Shivina decided she doesn't want to convict Ishaan, because it was her fault. Nandini Kapoor is no more... Akki calls Priya to inform of Ram's declining health, who with her daughter for the first time enter Kapoor mansion to see Ram torn apart. Pihu enquires as to why he is sad, and he only hugs her in response. Priya stays back to look after both, and lets Pihu be there as the father-daughter duo fall asleep.
17. Ram wakes up to find Pihu still sleeping, and Priya sitting near window. He has questions, Priya doesn't wish to answer, Pihu wakes up and the conversation has to stop. Shubham and Shivina's cryptic tear-jerking conversation. And Shubham agrees to come clean.
18. Ram's friends find him spacey in the office, he remembers waking up in the night to listen Priya's confession. She loves him, still. And Pihu, Pihu is best gift he gave her, and that she never wanted to keep him aaprt from the best thing to happen to them but.... 'I love you, Mr Kapoor. Meri life mein sab kuchh achanak se badal gaya, aur mein sirf itna jaanti thi ki main aapse pyar karti hoon aur aapke liye jo behtar hoga vo karoongi.'
19. Ram calls Priya at workplace, one sudden afternoon, and requests to meet her as he's outside her working place. Priya excuses herself, and there's Ram drenched in rain standing outside awaiting Priya to hug her and break down in her arms. Later, he would let her know he came to know about all her suffering in the hands of his family. Later, he would tell her of Nandini's involvement in her father's death because Shubham discovered voice records between her and Shashi's father. (In guilt admits, what happened with Priya.) But for now, it's just them and a reconciliation, exchange of apologies, renewal of vows, and anger and questions, but it has been moved to shed at a nearby cafe.
20. It's after a hearing in court Ram is busy consoling Meera maa (Mahendra Sood), while Priya is with Shubham and Shivina (Nadini's involvement). Raya had a simple court marriage because a question of Pihu reminded them of their divorced status. It's funny because Priya and Ram were commuting daily to each other's places because of Pihu. Akki and Shivina are unsure about their relationship because while they love each other, Akki is not the same person and Shivina has undergone shocks and changes herself... They are friends, at least, marital status intact on paper but rest is a question.
21. Ram-Priya put in their works, in building a trust shattered, in experiences of hiding things, in looking after Pihu. They dated and had a stage they never got to have the first time around. And this time Ram proposed on their wedding anniversary with the help of everyone in both the families, yes, even Ishaan who now is in a recovering relationship with Sara. Priya said yes, and they married and are broken, still healing, but very much in love and there for each other.
That's it. While not a full blown fic, I wish it still brought you some semblance of relief because the show currently is... (Let's play a game, you give me a better adjective to complete this line.)
