Okay, so apparently I have more to say about this. So, here it is character sketch cum spin-off to ff I would never be able to write-

1. Shivina- Just had so much potential all around, even in the show. As for this fanfiction, I really crave wanting to enter her mind and just re-analyze all her perceptions of various people. See her maturing, if I must say, due to the life-experiences. She was expected to be the baby of the family, and she realized early on it's playing that way could she get things done.

2. Shubham- Again, a character with potential. I am strongly on the team which ships him with Sid because it's good. It makes sense. I also agree he was mis-guided under his mother. In fact, that's what motivated me to be done away with Nandini and allowed me to be like... You know what, he would admit. Ever since young, his problem has been that he never received attention in the manner that he wanted, and from the people that he wanted. I think he really does look up to Ram and his father, and their bond left him feeling insecure to the extent of forming this careless attitude.

3. Sara- Her life story is a mess and also inconsistent which because I binge-watched the thing is blaringly obvious. Honestly, I would have preferred the first version of her story (although, my sympathies are with misguided Ishaan) where in the first episode she had to leave the bakery because Chintu wasn't fed by her husband (indicating she had a toddler) while they were on topic of love (indicating it was a love marriage which landed her with a slob).

4. Twinkle and Vikrant- First of all, I really wanted them to reconcile, But even more than that, I wanted them to dig into what actually happened in their lives. What's the reason that Vikrant earned this particular reputation? Why did they not workout? A post-divorce camaraderie would have been great to see.

5. Nandini- Because I believe she had shades, and love. Now I low-key want to imagine an AU where she either miscarried or her children died in their infancy. Ram being distraught led to them being more of friends than a mother-son duo as Nandini admits she couldn't be that person.

6. Maitreyi- Potential to leave her doormat of husband, or even expose him when she's threatened by him. Not exactly a good person, a grey one, cunning with skills to achieve what she wants in life and a conscience which kicks in at times.

That's it for now, what are the spin-offs you would like or the backstories you have in mind?

If you have been visiting this forum on regular basis then you would know how active and connected i was with this show since the pilot episode. But alas! Every good things comes to an end i realised that only last month.

If you plan to keep continuing with this show then best of luck. I do hope all the people who still are hoping get what they want.

Your best wishes are appreciated.

Welcome to the forum, and hope for your sake, and for everyone who still has hope, that this idiotic, mind-boggling mess ends up better than it looks like doing.

I don't read ffs when a show starts to go south, unlike most, because it makes me more dissatisfied. I do think almost anyone here could have reshaped the pre-leap and leap better.

I liked Shivi. She DID grow, so killing her didn't sit well. Sara I always disliked and would send her off to a universe far, far away. And I'd personally rather kill Meera than Nandini, since she's always got on my nerves.

I didn't see much of Ishaan, but I gathered he wasn't much liked. He could return with just one useful purpose, which I very much doubt will happen.

I'd like more of Adi, including Adi Brinda (though unlike most, I've never been that fond of Bri. She had her moments, but I far prefer all the other friends).

More on Kunal. Along with Adi, he has been the best of Ram's inner circle, but far too little ss.

Nandini is such a problem, because Shubhaavi plays her so perfectly, you have to admire her while wanting the idiot child to see her for what she is.

Get rid of mami-mami.

I actually quite liked Akki's mum. Sure she sounded off way too much at times, but what she said often had a bit of truth. And she wasn't toxic, just a standard loudmouth, like in many families.

But most of all, since everything is illogical anyway, I'd like this show to do a Dallas and return to where it was watchable, rather than trolling fodder.

And isn't that the whole thing, its unwatchable as of now.

This show is a joke in terms of character arcs.

Absolutely Loved both your posts for side-characters as well as the Main Plot.

Please do let us know if you ever do write a FF on this.

About more plot points -

I would have loved to see Neeraj-Priya's courtship & Relationship days. That step would help understand Maitreyi's character too.

Apart from Vik-Twi, I would have loved to read'bt Adi-Bri, Kunal individually. What were their life stories...How'd the gang come about in College?

How's the gang around Ram still so much ....especially with all of them being in their late 30s & early 40s now. I get it - Everyone works in the same company & around Ram so that's why it might be possible - but that means they would have also helped build The Kapoor Urban empire - so I would like to see that too - how Ram & Co. built it cos Honestly, the emotional abuse Nandini would put Ram through everyday - God alone knows how he was able to fight & conquer the world to be strong enough to keep repaying even his Friends' (read:Shashi Babbar) loans too.

Then ofcourse since Shashi seems to be still around- Why does he actually hate Ram from College days? I really like the Actor's acting.

Gosh! It feels like there're so many plot points that could have been or can be addressed.

Honestly.

There are just so many many characters left to explore, and yeah, things told but are done for plot's sake or to take it forward *sigh*.

I really do want to write it, but chaptered things are commitments and I don't want to start with something I can't finish.
