Ps dialogues and DPs acting conveyed so beautifully what a tortured and broken soul she was.. so many insecurities caused by her father's taunts and actions. Can't imagine what it would do to a daughter to have a father like MS... But that one dialogue "Kahin aap mujhse peecha naa chuda le." said it all..

The lifeboat - good one to read??

I know I felt like writing. I wanted to write so much today. I can't imagine having a father like that. I am blessed with the most deserving father who values my education more than anything else. Whatever I am today is because of him, solely. He is the one who taught me - "marriage can wait, education cannot." So, when I hear Pri talk about her insecurities and see a misogynistic father like MS, I couldn't fathom how one can sustain in life. I think Vaidhervi bought the book A Thousand Splendid Suns, and it also portrayed two very different fathers. So, Tirchi and I told her to read it.

The Lifeboat on the other hand is a nautical survival story, very hard to read and you will feel a metallic taste on your mouth if you choose to read it. So, that's a warning!

So what if its not a love marriage ???

It just brings out the snooty and vile behavior of Kapoors that they think middle class women are gold diggers.

It was a direct attack on Priya's dignity..

The least Ram could have done was to call her for a one to one discussion and clear his family's doubts instead of Shubham shoving the papers on Priya's face..

My dad has been my constant support, more like a friend to whom I can say anything. Amma is never like MM, she never bothered me to get married. Both of them are the wind beneath my wings. I am one of those lucky few girls whose parents made sure that the child is financially independent. I would say my parents are both conservative and modern in their thinking

May have something to do with cultural context? Prenups are not very common in India so I don't think people see it as a practical way to document financial rights. And in this instance where there's an unequal wealth status, it might be perceived as a lack of trust in the poorer partner and the risk of using the marriage as a way to usurp wealth

A thousand splendid suns was beautiful and so heart wrenching..

Of late in a mood to read or see happy stories and happy endings.. and lots of romance :))

Tirchi earlier had shared her recommendation on series .. saw few..good ones.. but all crime focused.

Would love if you could also recommend any books or series (romantic and happy). Whenever you get time.... It will be a favor... Or if you have a Goodreads account and don't mind adding me as friend there :) i would really like to try some new authors!!

🤣🤣

I often get the feeling I've left something behind but can never pinpoint what. Until I'm on the way to the airport and then BAM! I know exactly what I've forgotten 😆

Arre I am also in search of a very good book. I do have a Goodreads account and search me as "Doodle". I don't even remember the last time when I updated it but I do go there to look for books.
