I am glad we are on the same ship, now we need to steer it from the iceberg called CVs😡

Lol correct description as iceberg. Though CVs are like itna depth humse na ho payega so please aage SE left and don't disturb us, please continue with your fantasies. Just reread this whole thing and haii! Touch starved Ram and his slowly accepting Priya are a mood!

I don't mind them not having depth (though nakul pulls of the angst beautifully) but just not focusing on the characters, or even the positive characters... It was supposed to be a story about people falling in love post marriage and the people around them helping them🥲 I understand that they don't always get Nakul Or the others on the sets, but phir bhi, don't make it this toxic🤦‍♀️

Ive actually not watched Nakul in anything yet (maybe I should try IB?)

I also think they don't use the time with the actors well. If you've got a tight script which focusses on the progression at the core of it, then even with Nakul not being there all the time they'll get well done scenes. Also side characters are focused on such chindi things ...there is so much scope for good conflict.

Gajraj Rao directed the promos which is how they suck us in but then have different show runners and hence i recognise it'll never match up. But even then, I think the current writers are struggling and it's one revolving door of toxic nonsense.

Anyway! Basically the hope is works of fiction here on the forum. So keep writing and I'll keep prompting ;)

Tum dono aur bhi kuch milkar likhdo.

Pyaase ko paani mil jaega wali Feeling aayi hai yeh Drabble padhkar

How well established are the 2 separate characters here just through a simple gesture of Touch. Dekha jaaye toh it isn't simple but complex especially for Priya and I rarely find people who have actually truly understood Priya's (read:Kashaf) issues.

Kudos & Cheers!

Writing Ram was breeze, writing Priya was... oof! But I did try to mellow down her complexity a bit, to suit my flow (and laziness🤣)

@bold, oof!☺️

Kashaf toh ek chai ke cup mein patt gayi! That was such a lovely scene!

But their banter was the beshtt, kaash yeh show mein bhi aise explore kare cos both Nakul and Disha are fantastic.

Touch... Ram and Priya. Two different ideologies about touch. They are two different reactions when someone holds them.

For Ram, touch is a genuine expression of emotions. Touch can't lie, just like eyes can't. Touch can express your darkest intentions and your passionate desires.

Ram is a touch starved man, and he is self-aware. He craves touch. Ram finds it enough when his friends give him a pat on his back or his stepmother pats him on the cheek, and a hug from Brinda can keep him going for a day. But when he falls in love with Priya, he wants to hold her hand and looks in those beautiful orbs fill with wisdom. Ram wants to tuck her hair behind her ear and watch blush creep up her neck. He does that, and thankfully, Priya doesn't comment. When Priya lets him hold her hand as they fall asleep, Ram falls in love with her, again.

Priya... Is not a fan of touch. Priya's family jokes that they have to file an application asking for permission to step within her set personal boundaries every time they want to hug her. But for Priya, touch is not just about personal boundaries. Touch is a reminder of heartbreak and her abandonment issues. So it surprises her that Ram's innocent touches don't trigger her but instead feel like home, like Maa's words. It's a pleasant surprise to find herself blushing when he awkwardly looks away after tucking away her hair strand or holding her hand. She doesn't know if she is in love with Ram. She didn't have the time to think about falling in love, but she knows that she loves the feeling of his hands against her own, his fingers wiping her tears away. Those touches make her hope that she falls in love again.

~~~~~~~~~~
Touch starved Ram × Pri with a slight amount of touch aversion is my ship, and I am going down with it😍😍😍
I wrote bits of me in the story, I love when people I care about suddenly hug me or hold me, but at the same time, there is a siren in my head going "Personal boundaries!!!"
What do you think, lemme know.
Also, thanks to Priya (show waali nahi, forum waali) who triggered this idea by mentioning PriRa holding hands🥺
Ohh God!! ❤️❤️
It was soo beautiful.
Somehow it reminded me of Anna and Christian especially the bold lines. It took me back to the point of time when I read 50 shades. And these two have always reminded me of those two just in gender reversal roles that is.
Priya's complexities seem very similar to Christians when it comes to self doubt, unworthiness of parental love, self-reliant and mostly her fixation on the thought that love is not for her.
And ram breaking all these walls around her and rescuing her from all the dark thoughts she has about herself.
I haven't read or watched FSOG, so can't comment on the comparison, but I think no one realizes that Pri doesn't have abandonment issues, reason why even a random letter could rile her up😅
Glad you liked it🙈
