Even with Maitree she could not defend herself fiercely the way she does for Akshay or Sandy or her mother. They both are suffering from low self esteem. Ram never tried to defend himself, when it comes to annulment paper, Priya did not defend herself when it comes to the party.

But Priya still has a home, people who love her care for her, Ram actually has none and he knows that.

I understand that everyone is biased when it comes to their families. And also it's not like everyone will be ready to disown their families for some small wrongs from their side.

If they defend themselves or not isn't my issue here.

But my issue and disappointment, is that Ram let's his step family and Vedhika, (totally unworthy people)walk all over him, but keeps others (like actually good people) at an arms length without any mistake of theirs like he did with Meera yesterday. If Akshay cheated on Shivina, why he has to distant Meera in anger? He is human, flawed, etc. So is Priya and everyone and I get that. I'm not giving Priya a clean chit too. She believes Akshay only because she knows him and seen him their childhood to know what he's capable of and not. And with the current situation, she is very hurt but still she's not pushing away other important relations to prioritize her family.

And my issue with Ram is he did that exactly. He pushed his mother in law. Just because it was her nephew who hurt and cheated his sister, his outburst happened, with no fault of Meera's. It's disappointing that Ram is just too blinded by his love for his sister and doesn't mind pushing others, who apparently don't deserve such treatment from him.

All too confusing but true! He thinks that "his people (Priya and his friends)" will stand by him no matter what. But unfortunately by then, he will be overruled and overtaken by "not so his people(read his family)" and all the other would be thrown out and so there will be no one left to stay by his side bcoz he wud hv himself thrown them out. I am not sure whether they will be around to pick up the Ram who is broken to pieces! But ya in itv they will be around to mop up but had it been real life unfortunately there wudnt hv been any one left to mop!!

Priya needs to understand the true colors of Ram's family to stick around. If you see she knows that Ram is feeling lonely which he revealed during the Diwali track. She may stick around for the same reason. I think his friends are sticking around for the same reason. Inside Ram is a broken child who needs help

What is right? What is wrong? I feel that it is a very relative concept. It’s definition is different for every person. In fact, for majority of people out there, whatever they are doing is right, if seen from their perspective. Very few people will intentionally set out to do something what they think is wrong. Ever since Nandini came in Ram’s life, it was drilled into him by his father that it is Ram’s duty to ensure that Nandini (the new comer in their family) feels welcomed. Same was the case after Shubham and Shivina’s arrival. And because of this extreme sense of duty in him towards his step family, he has these two irrational fears - If he fails in his duty, 1)he is letting his father down. 2) he will not be left with any family. Nandini- Shubhu- Shivina- are a trigger for him- so powerful that they make logic and rationality the exceptions and not the rule. Where they are concerned, he acts from an emotional standpoint, which unfortunately can result in dreadful decisions / results for him and others ( Priya in this case). Priya is still very new in his life. She is slowly inching her way in his innermost circle (only reserved for the step family ) but is not quite there. Ram can be rational too when he is not emotionally involved. An instance being the Roka day, he maturely handled Neeraj and quickly smoothened the situation with some clever thinking. Here’s looking forward to seeing more of this side of Ram Kapoor as I am sure with Priya’s companionship he will definitely get there.

He needs guidance. At present his sense of duty towards his step family is greater than any other emotions or relations.
