I had two short threads the first one was largely predictable and may happen someday although I would wish otherwise. I have tried to scribble down the second. Please bear the shortcomings.

Engineering kills creativity!

Like I said before I used to be part of a raging forum on IF a few years back. And it didn't end well. Looking back that show had its good elements, but eventually, the horrendous clothes, toxicity and weird tracks make me realise that I grew a lot different in the last 4 years! I can't sit through it ever again without breaking into laughs seeing what a joke my favourite show was!

Let's see a plausible episode in #Raya's future

Priya walks into the Kapoor Mansion after a long day and finds it heavily decked. Her in-laws are busy in their respective chit chats, Ram can be spotted joking with his friends. He turns to look at her but suddenly turns away as if he didn't see her.

Priya sighs, he is probably disappointed with her. He had told her that it's an important business party, the celebration of the first profit of Shubham's business. Priya groaned within as it was just namesake. Ram did all the work, he was always overworked mostly returning past 2 pm every day.

Initially, she would argue with him over it but since Ram's confession on that day. Priya knew that he would keep doing it whatever happens. Beyond the happy successful man, there was a little boy who was so lost. It was Ram's coping mechanism, and it's what kept him going.

Ram felt disturbed that Priya didn't arrive on time for the event. It was the first time in nine years that he would have had someone by his side. He felt the selfish urge to show everyone that he wasn't alone.

Or was it himself? Did he want to prove to himself that Priya was real? That he deserved this happiness. That he deserved to have someone to love and someone who might love him back someday?

Ram had gotten nervous after seeing Priya enter the room. She didn't like the parties. If she had a choice she would have tied him to the bed for the whole day and told him to catch up on a whole month's rest. And he needed it too. His body and mind were exhausted. But this was important, Shubham was important.

He had left a packet for her and he worried about the consequences. He had seen it on the way back from office and for a moment he thought he had seen her. And hence he had stopped and bought it from a small shop on the roadside. At least Priya wouldn't blast him after seeing the price tag.

Priya felt like she was having the worst day of her life. No, she has had worse pathetic terrible days in her life. But it was probably the worst day in her life after she had started living with Ram. She dragged herself up to the first floor. There should be more than fifteen rooms in that building, she needed to walk at least a km to reach their bedroom.

Priya felt thirsty and weak. She hadn't eaten her lunch. The moment she had opened her lunchbox she had heard some of her colleagues call her a golddigger. The news of Ram buying some shares in her name had probably reached them. Priya was not someone to be affected by all this but today was different, her eyes pricked she felt nauseous. For the first time in a long time, she felt pity for herself and her plight to constantly keep fighting for basic respect.

Maybe Ram was the one spoiling her, around him no one dared to bad mouth her. His late nights had also taken a toll on her. He would force her to eat and sleep on time but after the night he had fallen sick she would jerk out of her sleep every time she had fallen asleep before him. It had almost become a need to see him fit and fine before she could finally have a peaceful sleep.

Priya felt her vision cloud by the time she reached their room. She walked in to find a small box with a note 'Please wear this to the party'. A voice note popped on her phone when it connected to the WiFi in his room, she had forgotten to recharge the data pack. Ram's shaky voice boomed through the room. "I just thought its nice, when I saw it, but there is no compulsion, you can do what you want, but if you can, you may, if you would, if it is okay....umm"

Priya chuckled, why was he so afraid of her as she would eat him up alive. But she didn't like gifts or surprises, instead, they worried her she feared the consequences of the good things that happen to her. When things like that occurred, it ended bitterly like when Neeraj surprised her with the proposal and then he got married to Maitreyi in a week.

Priya had cut two of her fingers in the process of trying to pick up the Jar. Punnu sighed, he had never seen this impractical side of her till to date except when she did eat the Paneer to let Shivina elope. He tried to slight nudge her by the elbow and make her move from the place so that he could clean the mess and she complied and sat on the bed.

Punnu called another person to quickly clean up but collect all the pieces of the broken Jar. Ram Sir would get someone to join or remould it like other times Shivina and Shubam had broken certain artworks their father brought.

Punnu had been with Ram since he was in college, his father joined as the Kapoor's driver. His father was also killed in the same accident of which Ram was unfortunately unaware. And thereby Punnu felt largely protective of Ram and decided it's better to stay close to him. His father had told him earlier that no one in the family except his father cared for Ram and he had seen it for himself in the past 20 years.

But Priya was different, she could change Ram's life forever. Punnu knew that Priya deeply cared for Ram and Ram also regarded Priya as his family. He had prayed to all Gods when their annulment news had come out. He knew that Brinda was behind it and greatly appreciated Ram's friends for actually looking out for him.

Punnu offered Priya that he would inform Ram that she is unwell which she declined just as he had expected. But he walked down to the party and Ram called out to him "Hey Tarun come and have some fun, here have a drink". Only if Ram could learn his name for once. 'Sir, it seems like Madam is not keeping well'

Ram wondered if Priya didn't want to make it to the party then she could have just said that right. She always did that with everyone and usually with him too. She didn't need to make an excuse he wouldn't force her or anything, he was not that type of a man. And if she didn't want to wear the dress that was okay too, wasn't it?

Ram felt more offended than he wanted to accept.

"Sir" Punnu impatiently interjected his array of thoughts.

Ram snorted "Hmm. Did she tell you this"

"No Sir, Madam had fallen and the J..Umm...Glass broke...so"

"She fell? How? Where" Ram's shriek startled Punnu as if his boss getting a seizure or something.

Ram nervously rubbed his nose since he wanted to make a run for his room but he was in a room full of guests. It wasn't appropriate and the questions and answers would just make it more difficult. He tried to regain his posture and took brisk equally paced strides towards the stairway. He offered certain apologies as he excused himself before reaching the landing and making a desperate run to his room.

"Priya" Ram called out nervously. She was sitting there crying on the bed. "Priya, what happened, are you sick" He touched her forehead and checked for any visible signs of injury. He took his kerchief and wrapped it around her fingers when he noticed the small cuts.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to, my hand slipped" Ram stared at her quizically.

"The Jar your father got" she pointed towards the side table. Ram glanced at the side table and noticed the missing item. He looked back at her and huffed. "What makes you think that I'm worried about the Jar and not you"

Priya felt as if a glass of cold water was splashed on her. Although it would have been the obvious reaction for anyone, it wasn't the case for her. She was never expected or allowed to make mistakes. She was in fact the Naariyal her mother and husband talked about. People had made her like that.

He had come for her, leaving everything behind and she was his priority. She felt the familiar dread fill in her and the resulting urge to push him away. But somehow it just felt right. It felt perfect to be in his embrace his worried eyes looking out for her, clumsily patting her hair. She selfishly wanted to clasp onto him.

"It's nice," she said.

"Huh" Ram looked surprised

"The gift, the dress, it's nice"

"Oh! You like it" he beamed

"Hmm...I can, I'll wear it"

"Not today, I think you need rest"

Priya squinted her eyes. Ram gulped

"But what happened to you"

"I didn't have lunch...So I felt a bit weak and.."

Ram glared at her and cut her off "Priya you have time for everyone, except you why don't you care...." Ram swallowed his words halfway seeing Priya's death glare. Everything felt just too familiar it was the very same things that she had been telling him for the past two months. He sheepishly passed her the little muffin he had pocketed earlier and she took it this time without hesitation.

It all finally fell in place for him. His heartbeats hadn't slowed down yet. He had felt concerned when Priya had the Paneer allergy. But today it was a deeper emotion, fear, the fear of losing her. Would she have been feeling the same? Did she feel the same for him?

Brinda had been looking for Ram for the past thirty minutes. She had gotten to know from Tarun that Priya wasn't keeping well and Ram had gone to check.

"Ram...Hey, RamJi" Brinda stopped dead in her tracks seeing the scene in front of her. Mr Ram Kapoor was sleeping soundly with his head resting on Priya's while hers rested on his chest.

"Ram" Adi walked in and his wife clasped his mouth and nudged him.

He hugged her in excitement. "Baby I'm so happy today. You are always right!

Ram wouldn't ever be alone ever again Mrs Priya Ram Kapoor has arrived"

When Priya had woke up Ram had made Chai. It didn't taste quite right but she smiled seeing his effort.

Priya wore the set when they got ready to go to the temple next week. Ram's face had lighted up like a thousand-volt bulb.

The stereo played a romantic track as they drove to the Temple.

"Dheere Dheere Se Mere Zindagi Mein Aana

Dheere Dheere Se Meri Dil Ko Churaana......."

That's it, guys. Do share opinions. Meanwhile, is Paneer allergy for real? Like how can someone have a Paneer allergy but have milk? 😅

Thanks to oye nakhrewaali and Sonia for helping me out 😍

Probably give it a day or two.

IF behaves abnormally on some days.

This is really beautiful !!❤️

I really liked the idea of how punnu's father could have died in the same accident and how Priya was having sleepless nights since the day she saw him collapsing.

And the ending was magic 🥰

Okay!

This was brilliant!

And finally you were able to post🤗

Like how you touched upon the topic that Ram might probably never learn that he's overworking himself instead of what Shubham is actually supposed to do.

Love how you touched upon that Priya might also undergo stress due to this😕

Somewhere I'm so scared about the fact that Shashi's bankruptcy would hurt Ram's health in a pretty bad manner cos of this ruckus of a deal being formalized already😒

Then talking'bt how/why Punnu/Tarun takes care of Ram so much... you touched on so many topics & that's the mark of a good writer❤️
