Yes scary, and I have read like Priya do some puja and walk to temple with bare foot for Ram health.

Arrey no yaar!! Apparently Ram's Daad used to do that every Diwali. After his death Ram carried the tradition forward. Now that he is ill, Priya will be doing it for him I guess.

Walking barefeet to the Sidhivinayak temple from even the far suburbs of Mumbai is a very common thing for locals to do. Many do it every Tuesday.

As someone pointed out, Ram’s dad used to do on Laxmi puja day & Ram has carried on the tradition. If one cannot observe a tradition it wld be usual for one’s spouse to do it on behalf.

In a way this seals the deal that Priya is Ram’s wife & ‘ardhangini’! Also, think of the romantic after-scene we may get Ram tending to her sores on her feet 😃
