Not only Rishabh, koi mere HC ko bachao😂😂😂 Har doosre scene main bheega deti hai usko.😂😂😂 I love seeing him like that, but bimaar na ho jaye banda.

If I had to describe the show, I would call it flakey and time pass. I am not super invested because there is nothing emotional about it. Randomly dancing, random siblings appearing, random girlfriend appearing and so on. There is nothing connecting these threads and there is no emotional stake to any of the stuff.

What should be taken seriously is presented in almost brainless forgetful manner. Take Revathi's issue. Out of nowhere, she is introduced. So all of a sudden, we are supposed to care about what happens to her. The girl ends up at home and then goes to sleep while her sister and jiju are missing. Right?! smiley37

If you are going to be talking about real life issues like catfishing and blackmail, then use these as hooks to reel in the audience and totally explore the fallouts. Instead, it is done in five minute exposition like someone spitting out the memorized physics chapter 1. Most of the audience will forget this mini arc because it barely existed.

They are making it seem like we should care about Revathi but there is no talk about how stupid this girl is. There is no real discussion for the audience where we can talk about how folks are so in love with the idea of being in love that they fall prey to online love scammers. In the last few years, romance scams are some of the biggest criminals.

There is no discussion about why Revathi is sending photos to people she has never met -- What should one do to protect themselves? There is no discussion of cyber police or cyber laws. Yes, individual choice is all there but are you stupidly putting yourself in danger when you send photos of yourself to a random stranger who you have never met. Why are people so desperate for love and relationship that they fall prey to criminals?

Again, no education point on how even with established relationships like people dating for a few years, these photos and videos are then used to blackmail people either for money or to stay in the relationship or to coerce some intimacy. Sometimes, there are idiots who share photos of their ex or gf in whatsapp group with other boys. Why????? 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Then, my biggest peeve is that this mini arc will be completely hidden from parents because appa has heart problems instead of talking it through as a family and finding real solutions. But oh, we don't do that in Indian families which is why these crimes only come to surface when it is parents who report them and have children who actually communicate their issues.

Basically if you watch an episode of crime patrol, all of these would be covered with a lot more gravitas and horror. These are real issues that should be shown more seriously and heart -- then as audience, we would want to tune in because we want to know how it will turn out. We will be on the edge of the seat because we know there is a twinge of reality here.

Even if we see Rishab randomly taking off his shirt and randomly getting stuck in freezer, we would be invested because the buildup from being in arc with serious problems means we would care about what happens. Instead, it is funny and comical. Yea, Rishab looks good and yea, there is chemistry and glances and we are just watching half asleep as we need time pass. Romance without real emotional hooks just falls flat. 🤷🤷🤷

P.S -- randomly tagging people who posted in last few pages. so apologies if I missed anyone.

for me it's good time pass as i keep thinking about next tracks. But yes i agree crime patrol covers everything so well here it made no sense. Like revati going to dating site and doingbm stunt 🤣

I just feel a little annoyed with the CVs because I want to enjoy shirtless Rishab and all the glances and they are not doing their work properly. smiley36

I last watched Harshad in Bepannah and did those two have chemistry but it was built up over time. Little by little, tons of sparks, tons of fights, so many emotional back and forth. So whenever he did remove his shirt and we got those scenes, it was oooooo lalala! smiley42smiley42

Thank you; I don't post very often as I am usually watching the episodes a few days after airing. Also, not much reaction from me for the most part unless there is some interesting/fun discussion on the thread to react to. :)

I get where you are coming from, and this is one of the complaints lots of people in this forum have. And I will try my best to explain what's happening.

So this show is like an experiment from EK's end. The ITV market has been dropping like crazy these days, especially after the emergence of OTT, so people aren't that keen to go in direction of picking up TV shows anymore. If you see only long running shows, which had an audience in last decade or so are still running and topping the charts. All new shows are struggling to get TRPs cause Indian audience generation is changing.

That's where these shows by EK on Sony come in, she has been trying few things with Barsatein and BALH previous two seasons as well. And with BALH season 4, a change of story pacing is getting experimented. That's why it feels short sometimes and underwhelming as well, because we usually are used to very detailed dramas on ITV. So they are trying to cater both ITV and SonyLiv Audience in this show. For me the pacing seems fine, as I usually don't like dragged out things in ITV. Yes, detailed when required, but there needs to be a balance.

Now coming to the Revathi issue, Revathi's backstory was revealed in Friday itself where a lot of portion was spent in dealing with Mia. Some points ( And I must say they are great points) have already been answered in Revathi's and Rishabh'a conversation, and some in Rishabh's narration to Bhagya. But the post discussion is still pending. Mostly that will happen between Bhagya and Revathi.

Revathi tells Rishabh that seeing her sister fight for her love, she also thought that she is allowed to be in love and do whatever she can to keep that supposed relationship in her life. She was stupid enough to share all these things with someone who she has never met. I am assuming they will touch on few things next few episodes cause Bhagya hasn't talked to Revathi yet. But don't expect something like Crime Petrol level detailing, cause this show isn't about that and this one is just a sub plot.

Also, Revathi comes out as a timid person who can't handle anything of her own and is easily gullible, that's why she trusted Rishab to sort the things when he showed confidance. And same is the reason, that she went home and waited for Bhagya to sort everything and come back.

Right now, the show's focus more than the mutual romance, is Rishabh's will be won't be mystery? It's heartbreaking to see Bhagya fall in love with him, while we know that Rishabh has an ulterior motive. I think that's the reason the promo was released when the Mia track was going on, to give some context to us.

I hope I made sense, and welcome to the forum.😍😍😍 Do keep coming here, always nice to hear new takes on the ongoing tracks.😘😘😘😘

................................

I get what you are saying with writers trying to experiment but I feel the writers are not being smart in their approach even if they want a finite series. You need to have hooks for the audience to care. That then translates to TRPs

You cannot randomly introduce a character and expect the audience to be interested. I care about idiots in crime patrol episode but did I care about what happened to Mia or Revathi? Nope. 😂

This is a super dysfunctional family where all of the kids are emotionally stunted fools and all of them including the parents need whacks on their heads. 😅

Basically this is a family that focused solely on marks that none of the children are really street smart or have any idea how to navigate real life. This makes them all prime targets for villains.

I would be okay with such idiocy if the drama was willing to explore the fallouts of such stupidity and show how the characters change and grow. That can make for great emotional arcs and get the audience totally invested in these characters and tuning in week after after week.

However, given the saccharine sweet approach, I don't think we will get that. This makes me wonder how they will even get to 2026 (I read a comment here that this show is being intended for a year?) Right now, I can skip episodes and not really miss anything because nothing has really happened.

The real draw is HC and Shivangi and they are doing a good job but if the writers don't do more, then the actors cannot sell the drama despite best efforts.

The biggest hook of any drama is the push pull of romance and there is none here. For a strong romantic arc, you need conflicts to prevent the couple from really being a couple. This means there has to be villains or some dramatic incident that tears them apart. They have to not want to be together while they are together. That is one method of push pull.

If we are going with BALH/arranged marriage type romance arc, then we need awkwardness and the navigation of building a relationship as strangers. Yes, the writers have given a little of that but so far, I don't feel the push pull really.

I think they need to skip some of the sweetness and bring the angst in order to create push pull feel. Yes, we have the promo but so far, they have not shown that Rishab is actually mysterious. If they had given us hints of that from the beginning, then we would be lot more hooked on trying to decipher which is real and which is acting.
