Aamir Khan had a special message for Saakshi Tanwar after she was selected to be a part of 'Dangal' team.

Actress Saakshi Tanwar who shot to fame with TV show 'Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki' and 'Bade Acche Lagte Hain' is now all set to entertain the audiences in Aamir KhanProductions Dangal. This film marks her debut film with Aamir Khan and the actress is all happy to be a part of the team.

During a recent interview with Indiaforums, Saakshi shared the moment when she was offered the film. She said, "Last year, in August I got a call from Mukesh Chhabra's casting agency and they said that we are casting for Aamir Khan's film Dangal and we are considering you for his wife's role. Firstly, I couldn't believe it but then I went to meet them. So Mukesh told me that it's a big film and you should do it. I asked him what the role is, he said I'll explain you everything but you should do this film. So, I just did a small test and 2 -3 days later I was called to meet Aamir sir. When I came to meet him, we did a scene together and after the scene they just asked me about my schedules and I said that right now I am not doing on any project".

She also informed that Aamir personally welcomed her to the film's team. She says, "When I was returning from casting director Mukesh Chhabra's office after discussing my dates, I got a message from Aamir sir. I called him back and he said "Welcome to Dangal, you are on board' I was just blank for the moment".

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film is based on former wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and showcases the journey of how he fulfils his dream to win the gold medal for India in wrestling.

The film will hit the theaters on 23rd December, 2016.

After proving her acting skills on the small screen, actress Sakshi Tanwar is all geared to entertain us in her upcoming film 'Dangal'. The actress always keeps it low key when it comes to her public appearances or interacting with the media. During the launch of TV series '24 season 2' Saakshi, who was also a part of the show didn't turn up for the event. When asked by the media, veteran actor and show's lead Anil Kapoor had joked saying that, "Please do even inform me when you get her contact number"?

However, in an interaction with Indiaforums, Saakshi explained us the reason why she shies away from the limelight. She said, "No, it's just that I hardly have anything to share about. Today you' ve met me so I am talking about Dangal, you meet me after 5 days and I will still have the same things to share. Unless I take up any new projects, what should I talk on? So I feel that I would talk when I'd have something new to talk about".

The actress will be seen paying a disciplined mother and is paired opposite to Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan in the film.

Helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film will hit the theaters on 23rd December, 2016.
