Chapter 2

Niharika looks at him shockingly.

Niharika: ye... ye kya matlab hai apka?

Ak: matlab woi hai jo tum samjhna nahi chahti. Priya ki shadi ram say ho g.

Niharika: meray jeetay jee ye khabi nahi hoga mera beta iss low standard ladki say shadi nahi karay ga.

Ak:( all most shouting) standard standard standard!! Tumhare inhi standards ki wajha say humari zindagi ladte jagdte guzri hai, apne inhi standards ko maintain rakhnay k liye tum ny humari zindagi ko humesha nazar-andaz( not to pay attention)kia hai, bhagwan k liye apnay betay ko apney jaisa mat banao.

Niharika: amar meri ek baat aap sun lijye mera beta Ram Kapoor hai, one of the most richest business man of india koi auto driver nahi, jo iss ki shadi kesi bhi ladki say kara dien, meray betay ki ek jhalak panay k liye log martay hain,iski zindagi mein iss k status ki ladki hi aye g, dunia mein apnay betay ka mazak bannay nahi dun g.

Ak: tumhari inn fazul baaton ko na mein sunna pasand karun ga na koi inka jawab dena, buhat jald shadi ki tyariyaan shuru ho jayien g, tumhen bhi invitation mil jaye ga, ana ho to ah jana( saying this he sat on bed, removed his specs and put it on the side table and lied down).

Niharika decided she will never let it happen.

In morning Niharika and Ak doing there breakfast in silence and then Ram(yawning) came downstairs to join them.

Ram wearing his casual clothes, khaki shorts and white polo collar tee shirt.

Ram: good morning papa, good morning maa, he came close to niharika and kissed on her forehead and sat beside her.

Niharika: good morning baby, slept well my son? She asked while kissing his cheek. Ajkal buhat busy rehnay lag gaye ho beta kal bhi buhat late ghar aye tum.

Ak smiled looking at both of them.

Ram: haan maa wo kuch office k kam ki wajha say late aya.

Ak: beta apnay aap ko itna bhi busy mat kar lena k tumhen dekhnay k liye bhi appointment leni pade humien( and looked niharika).

Ram smiled and rolled his tongue in his cheek as he understood his dad taunted his mother. Niharika ignored what Ak said.

Ram: don't worry papa aesa bilkul nahi hoga, apka beta jitna bhi busy ho apki ek awaaz pay sab kam chod pehlay ap k pass aye ga.

Ak: (felt proud of his son, he smiled and said) mujhe pata mera beta mujhe khabi nirash nahi karay ga.

Niharika: ram baatien ho gaien hon to nashta kar lo.

Well suddenly ram remember he wanted to ask about the guest. Ram was about to say something when priya entered the house. Ak became happy seeing her.

Ak: arey priya beta achay samay ayi,hum bhi breakfast hi kar rahay thay aao tum bhi humare sath karo.

priya said good morning to all. Niharika just gave fake smile in reply. Ram looked at her surprisingly as he don't know who is she. Priya settled herself opposite to Ram.

Ak: priya iss say milo ye mera beta ram hai bachpan mein to tum ny issay dekha hua hai zyda badala nahi hai, tab bhi mota tha aur ab thoda aur mota hogaya hai.

Priya giggled hearing Ak whereas Ram felt embarrassed and looked annoyingly at his father.

Ram said hi to priya and she nodded her head in reply.

Niharika excused herself and was about to go when Ak said aur ye meri bivi niharika. Priya folded her hands says namaste and niharika greeted her back with a smile and says mujhe ek important meeting pay jana hai see you all later saying this she left.

Ak: aur ram ye priya hai sudhir meray sabse achay dost ki beti, kai bar jiski batien mein tumhen btata hun.

Ram: han han woi sudhir uncle jinki death ek car acc... (he stopped as he realized what he was about to say). Ram looked at her and mimmed a sorry. Priya just look downwards

Ak: han woi sudhir. Acha to priya beta aj ka kya plan hai?

Priya: uncle woi mujhe schools visit karnay hain and cv drop karni hai.

Ak: nahi aj aesa kuch nahi hoga. Ram aj teri koi meeting hai?

Ram: (while taking sip of juice) no papa aj to nahi hai ap btayie koi kam tha?

Ak: han kam to hai, mein office jata hun tu aj off lay aur breakfast k baad priya ko Mumbai ghumnay lay jaa.

Ram gave an expression Like me??? whereas priya even felt uncomfortable.

Priya immediately says: nahi uncle iski kya zarurat hai job karnay lagun g to khudi ghum lun g.

Ak: wo to thik hai lekin beta phir bhi tum humari mehmaan ho itna to humara farz banta hai, so bachon bus decided ram tu priya ko le jana aur mujhe office k liye late ho raha hai mein bhi chalta hun,( he gave smile and left).

ram and priya ate their breakfast silently. Ram broke the silence

Ram: aap... phir ready ho jaen then chaltay hain.

Priya: emmm yeah, ok.

Dear readers I am not from Mumbai not even from India so whatever place I will use in this ss will be imaginary except few actually I goggled and learned the names of few places.

Ram wearing Ray -Ban goggles, blue denim jeans and white and blue lining shirt( half folded cuffs), wating for priya in his BMW outside guest house. Priya came outside wearing white tights and light pink kurta. Ram looked at her observingly and noticing her simple way of dressing, Ram was a person who was habitual of seeing girls in mod scott short dresses as he was never surrounded by ordinary girls who wore such simple attires,even his girl friend was among them who always looked tip top in her short tight dresses, Ram kept looking her until she reached the car, ram immediately came out an opened the door for her, priya smiled at his gesture and sat quietly in the front seat with him. Ram drove out from Kapoor Mansion. After some time,

Ram: where would you like to go?

Priya: ah actually I came mumbai for the very first time so I don't about any place.

Ram: oh ok no problem , aapko kaisi jagha jana pasand hai? I mean you want to go to mall, club or any food court or game zone, any place of your choice?

Priya: library... I mean mujhe libraries dekhni hai I heard mumbai mein buhat badi badi libraries hain aur iskay ilawa gate of india bus(and gave her stunning smile)

Ram( looked at her with an expression like hain! libraries ye bhi koi ghumnay wali jagha hai) oh libraries... ok... so you like to read books?

Priya: I love to read books( smiled)

Ram looked at her and noticed her innocent smile in mean time ram's phone start ringing. Ram cut the call. After some time priya initiated the talk,

Priya: aap ko books pasand nahi?

Ram: aesa nahi hai k mujhe pasand nahi bus padta nahi hun kitabon ki baatien, kitabon mein achi lagti hai real life mein inka koi kaam nahi.

Priya: hmmm magar kitaben insaan ko buhat kuch sekhati hain jiss ka faida unhen real life mein khabi na khabi zarur hota hai

Ram: oh so argument

Priya( giggled)not exactly

ram's phone again ringed and again he cut the call and meanwhile they reach library. They came out of the car. They entered the library, ram escorted her, priya was extremely happy, ram noticed it and smiled to himself, priya hold one book and was about to say something to Ram when again his phone rang.

Ram: excuse me, its important( he came to some corner to answer the call).

Ram:(on phone)hey my hunny how are you?

Esha: what hunny! Do you have any idea kitna pareshan thi mein, ram subha say call kar rahi hun tum call pick nahi kar rahe na message ka reply kar rahe ho, abhi tumhare office call kia to pata chala tum office nahi aye... where the hell are you???

Ram: hold on baby hold on! Sab btata hun, actually ek guest k sath hun if you don't mind baby baad mein baat karien abhi I cannot talk, take care I love you.

Esha; guest! Kaun guest? Ram kes k sath ho? Tell me I am coming there( before she could complete ram cut the call, esha became very much annoyed with his attitude)

Ram standing at far corner noticed priya from top to bottom, her long hair, beautiful pink cheeks, her interest in reading the books and says to himself "she is cute" and smiled. Ram came to priya and asked her how is this place did she like it, priya thanked him for bringing her there and she showed him some books and talked about them after few minutes ram took her to different places few of his choices and some of her choice. The sun was about to set when ram took her to marine drive beach, they came out of the car, their backs was resting against car.

Priya: thank you mr.kapoor it was a wonderful day

Ram: it was indeed, and the pleasure is all mine( gave his trade mark smile)

Priya: doobta sooraj kitna khoobsurat lagta hai( looking towards the setting sun)

Ram:( looked at her and lost in her grace) haan shayad

Priya: mr.kapoor chalien kafi late ho gaya hai apka bhi aj itna time waste hogaya

Ram: (coming out his thoughts) ah han chalo aur mera time bilkul waste nahi hua jahan tak mujhe lagta hai(smiled)

They sat in the car when ram was about to turn priya saw kulfi stall and exclaimed

Priya: mr.kapoor! kulfi!

Ram: han mujhe bhi nahi pasand (continued to turn the steering)

Priya: par mujhe pasand hai lets eat na

Ram: (looked at her with amazement) kulfi wo bhi yahan ki??? No ways priya ye bikul achi nahi hoti aur ajkal waese bhi monsoon weather hai aur iss mausam mein kulfi khana not a favorable option I will take you to some good restaurant.

Priya;no no mr.kapoor kuch nahi hoga please chalien khate hain

Ram;( as she was the guest he couldn't say no to her and agreed) ah... Actually tum khao mein ley ata hun par mein nahi khaun ga , I have taste buds

Priya: (looked at him,gigged and says) dekh k to nahi lagta

Ram: (angrily) tum ny mujhe mota kaha

Priya: kab? Nahi to( suppressing her smile)

Ram became annoyed and came out of the car to bring her kulfi, priya also opened the door to come out .

Ram:(turned and says) aree tum kahan ah rahi ho tum ruko mein ley k ata hun

Priya: mein bhi ati hun ap k sath

Ram: nahi dekho buhat rush hai tum betho mein lata hun( saying this he left)

Priya smiled to herself, ram brought her kulfi, she ate it enjoying every bite of it and thanked ram for such a marvelous treat, ram smiled at childlike behavior.they came back kapoor mansion and when they entered ram was completely shocked. Esha was sitting with her mother, AK and niharika.

Niharika: aree ram tu ah gaya kabse esha tera wait kar rahi hai

Ram looked at esha and she looked back with huge smile

RaYa first meeting at breakfast table was so nice. AK introduced her but usually Niharika has attitude but seem Ram liked her. Their small outing of Mumbai darshan making Ram to like the Priya company but now wat twist it will bring in RaYa life to see Esha at his house. Dear u are writing very nice progress is very good. Continue soon.
