Ram drove his car away from the city. He felt like going for a long ride. He wished at least Kate was present to accompany him. he smiled to himself, only some more days he had to suffer like this. He threw a glance at the seat beside him "and then you would accompany we wherever I go, we will never let go of each other, we will go for long drives, romantic holidays, candlelight dinners etc" he said, feeling her presence beside him. "I know that my life has taken a full turn, I never dreamt that he would fall for a girl in my lifetime. Initially I didn't understand why I find something different in you, something that makes me calm and composed when you are around, something that makes me happy in seeing your angelic smile, something that makes my heart ache when you are not near me, something that makes my heart beat twice its normal rate when you comes in front of me; specially in that skirt of yours, something that makes me shiver when your smell fills my nostrils. I am not such a jerk, that I cannot recognize my feeling for you is strong. Strong enough that I cant imagine a world without you. so according to the language of common people I am in love with you. And in my language I have found the reason for my living in this world. And Now there was only one thing left to do. I have to let you know all these. I know, I know, I not a magician to read your mind and exactly know how you felt about me. but that doesn't matter to me, but you have to know the way I feel about you. and the soon the better, coz the more I am making it late, the more I will suffer without you" he thought as he pressed the accelerator more

"But before doing all this I want to consult with Kate. I know Kate would always want the best for me". he smiled "I know Kate would be the happiest knowing that I was in love. For years she has tired to push me into relationship and now I have found one for myself. And granny, I pray that she shouldn't get a heart attack when she comes to know that I wanted to marry Priya. Yes I wanted to make her mine. My wife. My own in all ways" he stopped the car on side and rested his head on the seat, closing his eyes. He was man who loved being let all alone. Her smiling face seemed to flash in his inward eyes. Whenever he saw her smiling he felt all his tension drain and his whole mind and body shift their full attention towards her. "I really love you, I want you, please come to me sweetheart" he whispered. "and I know you will love me to, coz this is what is destined to happen" he said and smiled. He felt she was smiling back at him and assuring what he was right. he slowly drifted to sleep.

Kate checked the time as she finally kept her phone down. It was 9:30. She felt happy talking to him after nearly a week. All of a sudden it hit her that she didn't speak to Ram about what she planned to tell him. taking her phone she dialled his number. after several rings he picked up the call. "hello" he said in a sleepy tone. Kate closed her eyes ready to get the worst from Ram's mouth as he didn't like disturbing in his sleep at all. "Ram I am sorry" she muttered. "hey Kate, that's ok, tell me whats it?" he asked, he voice seemed a little clear now. Kate was still in a shock that Ram hadn't scolded her for disturbing his sleep "Nothing, first tell me aren't you angry that I woke you?" she asked "I slept off in the car, so I should thank you" he said "While driving?" she asked stunned "Idiot, no , ok tell me whats it?" he asked. "Ram I wanna tell you something, really soon, I am free tomorrow , can you come home?" she asked "yeah I will, morning I will be held up, will come by evening Kate, even I want to talk to you, but alone" he said "I will be alone, Priya will come late night" she said. "Ok then, I will be there" he said "so where are you" she asked, he looked around "I should get home, I will see you later" he said. "Ok, take care Ram" she said and hung up.

Ram got down from his car and splashed some water in his face. he felt tired. He knew it would take nearly 2 hours to reach home, but he had to make it, else granny would panic. Drying his face with a towel, he removed his blazer and put it on the seat and got in. he turned the AC off and let all the windows down hoping the fresh air will keep his tiredness away for a while.

Priya finished her visit to all patients and wished them goodnight. She remembered Cam telling that he was getting married. She knew that Cam adores her a lot. She wanted to give him something as a gift for his success in catching his love. She felt hungry, she checked the time, it was 11:30 . She decided to go home and have her dinner today. She felt totally drained of energy. She wished someone would give her a lift. She packed her things and told the nurses to keep eye on her patients, then left to her car. She felt cold as she walked to her car. She ignited her engine and turned the stereo on.

Ram smiled happily when he entered the city. Only some more time and he would be home. he wished he could see Priya once. He checked the time, it was nearing midnight. He finally made up mind to see her tomorrow, but first he had to plan, what excuses he had to make to see her. as his car made its way, he spotted a red Volkswagen parked on the opposite side of the road. He stopped his car immediately and got down. The street was totally dark, except for a few streetlights and one shop which was opened. He crossed the road and went to the car. He saw her bag on the front seat. His heart jumped "she was somewhere here" he thought and looked around. He made his way to the shop. It was a gift shop, he smiled remembering the skates. He went to the shopkeeper and asked for Priya. "Sir, the woman left just now after purchasing" he said. ram thanked the shopkeeper and left. He stood near her car and looked around. He didn't feel good. He dialled her number and saw her phone ringing inside her car. He walked away from her car and then he spotted her.

she was not alone. There were three guys surrounding. She was standing in the middle as they circled her. Ram felt his blood rushing, he wanted the rip them into pieces, but he wanted her to be safe. She looked shaken up and was pleading them to spare her. he couldn't see her pleading anyone for anything. He ran there and turned one of the guys and gave a hard punch on his face. his nose started bleeding and Ram like an uncontrollable animal started hitting him more. The other two got hold of him. he was able to here Priya shout his name and plead them not to hit him. The more Priya cried the more Ram felt himself raging. He threw the two guys and they fell down. He started kicking them. The other guy went to grab Priya. But Ram was fast enough, he stood in front of her like a guardian angel. "Back off" he said the guy. Seeing the rage in his eyes, the three men ran away. She held his hand tightly from behind. "lets go Ram" she cried. He turned to her, she looked pale. Before he could say anything she hugged him tightly crushing herself into him. he was taken back by her action, he felt his body shiver as he soft body pressed against his. he gently caressed her hair and back soothing her "Its ok, I am here Priya" he kept saying until her sobs subsided. "I am scared" she said "I am here, nothing will happen, they are gone" he said making her relax in his arms.

"shall we go" he asked. she pulled herself away and looked into his eyes. he was looking directly into her. she could see how angry he was in his eyes. "are you ok?" he asked. his voice was sweet, full of concern. She knew he was hiding his anger which was visible in his eyes "I could have ripped them" finally he said gritting his teeth. "I am glad you came" she said. he gave a smile "come, I will drop you" he said. he turned to walk to the car "Ram" she called. He turned back "yes Priya" he said "I am scared, can I hold your hand?" she asked. he smiled and went to her, took her hands in his "now ok? Come"

"Ram if I come with you, what about my car?" she asked. "just take your bags and give me the keys, it will be there in the morning" he said. she nodded. She collected her bag and made sure Ram was close to her as possible. Handing him the keys, he helped her into his car. He handed her water "Priya, forget this, you seemed totally shaken up" he said. she gulped the water and looked at him "I will need some time" she said. "everything will be ok, we are here" he smiled. She smiled back at him. she felt safe to be in his car with him. he took the coat the was hung in his seat and handed it to her "you will feel a little warm" he said. she took it, she was in no mood to say no. she was feeling terribly cold. He drove the car. They sat in silence. He kept throwing glances at her. she looked mesmerizing in the moonlight. "had your food?" he asked. she nodded a slight no. he kept looking for some hotel and atlast found a small one. He halted the car "I am hungry, shall we eat?" he asked. she smiled "I am hungry to" she said.

Both entered the small restaurant. It was empty. Ram took his seat and Priya sat beside him. he felt his body freeze. He understood she was scared. They ordered their food and ate silently. "Ram what were you doing so late?" she asked suddenly. "actually, I went for a ride and slept on the way, so It became late" he said. she smiled "So I see, someone has not left the ride yet" she said he smiled "I tried your way too, its really good, but today I felt like going for a ride" he said. she nodded and concentrated on her food. They finished their dinner. He paid and guided her to the car. "can you play music?" she asked in a low tone. he smiled and turned it on. He drove all the way to her home. after a while he found her sleeping, she somehow managed to cuddle herself into his coat, which was pretty big for her. he smiled see her sleeping like a baby. He felt complete having her near him. but one side of him was still raging, how they dare to attack Priya he thought. finally the car stopped in front of her apartments. She was still sleeping. He got down and opened her door. He stood admiring her for a while. Her pink lips, touching each other sweetly was really tempting him. He wanted to so badly kiss them. He caressed her cheeks gently with his fingertips "nothing will ever harm you until I am there Priya" he said and bent to press his lips on her forehead. He found her lips curve into a smile. He smiled seeing her. he went near her ears "I love you my doll" he whispered. He found her smile widen. He felt happy seeing her actions. He rubbed his nose lightly against hers. She giggled. He laughed. He felt like the happiest man on earth. "Priya" he called softly. "get up" he said. she didn't make any move.

Taking a breath, he picked her up swiftly in his arms. She immediately adjusted herself in his arms, resting her head in his chest. He kicked his car door close and mimed a sorry to it. she opened her eyes and saw him, she wanted to get down and walk, but she felt totally worn out and closed her eye again. Ram looked at her, she was his baby. His smiled seeing the way she slept. He couldn't thank god enough for this moment. he came to her flat and set Priya down. Holding her firmly through her waist, he rang the bell.

Kate who was watching the TV waiting for Priya, ran to the door. Priya has promised to tell her about the dinner with Ram. She pulled the door open and looked stunned at the sight in front of her. "Ram, whats happening?" she asked, and at the same time went to support Priya. "we must get her to her room first" Ram said. kate nodded. They put her on her bed, Kate removed her sandals, and covered her with a duvet. She kissed cheeks and wished her goodnight. Ram smiled seeing the way his friend cared for Priya. "Ram how come Priya is with you?" she asked. he briefed her what happened "I hope she is ok" Kate said. Kate could see Ram's anger rise slowly. "she will be fine" Kate told him. he nodded "Its late, gran will ground me then, good night Kate" he hugged her. "see you tomorrow" she said. he nodded and left to his car.

Kate was walking in her room. She had to be quick. She had to tell Ram. She wanted to stop him before it was too late. Already she felt it was late. Ram seemed ready to anything for Priya. She had to speak to him tomorrow.

It has been a long day, but with perfect moments. Without changing into his nightwear, he threw himself on the bed and was snoring in a while.

The morning rays hit her eyes. she turned her face away from the sun and tried to cover her face with the pillow. But she found his coat covering her face. his strong male cologne filled her nostrils, her mind went blank. It was so seducing. He really smelt great. No his coat smelt really great she told herself. The night events flashed through her eyes. how he protected her and their dinner. She sat up on her bed "he helped me so much and I just slept without telling him a word of thanks" she thought. she cursed herself. Still wearing his coat, she picked up her phone and dialled his number.

Ram was sweating and panting as he ran on his treadmill. Today was an important day for him, but he didn't have any idea how destiny was going to turn it more important. His phone rang. He ignored. It rang again. Guessing it must be important, he went to the table near his bed to pick it up. Seeing her name he smiled. "hey beautiful" he said. "morning Ram" she said. "so someone whos busy all the time, has found sometime to call me" he said. she smiled "I hope I haven't disturbed you" she said "you can never, how are you?" he asked. "really tired, must be I will skip work for the morning" she said. "Oh yes you need to rest" he said "so whats up for the day?" she asked "I am going to visit my office here, after nearly a year" he said "wow" she said "mm, yes, its a big day" he said "so what area you wearing today?" she asked "what?" he asked confused "I mean, you must be wearing something that really look good on you right?" she asked. "yes yes, but I don't care how I look until I want to impress someone, so why don't you suggest?" he asked. she thought for a while "what about a full black suit, or a full white one?" she suggested. "Okay done, but why do you suggest these colours?" he asked. "you'll look perfect in them" she said. "thank you" he replied. She remembered that she called for thanking him but the conversation has gone the other way "Ram I wanted to thank you for yesterday night" she said. "that's not enough" he said "what else do you want?" she asked "Well you should agree" he said. she felt a lump in her throat, what if he asked for something,... she couldn't think more "ok" she agreed. "Priya I don't complain you working so late, but when you work so late and return home, don't stop anywhere, else call a friend to accompany you, please" he said. she realized how much he was worried about yesterday "but why is he bothered?" she thought "Priya" he called "ha Ram, yes I will promise I will do this" she said. "good then, and I will be there to help anytime" he added. "thanks" she said. "its ok, now I have to leave, its getting late and your car already reached there, probably Kate is having your keys, have a good day" he said. "you too Ram and what about the coat?" she asked. he laughed "return it anytime you wish, I have many here" he said. "ok then, take care" she said and hung the phone. She felt her head spinning and landed on her bed again.

Ram selected a white suit. He combed his hair perfectly. "So Priya does know what colour looks good on me" he thought and smiled. Just then his phone beeped. It was Kates message

"Ram, good morning. I hope you remember that we have to meet today, do make it there"

He felt confused "why is Kate in such a hurry" he thought.
