The Asian Viewers Television Awards 2014 Voting Information
Voting method and cost:
Viewers can vote for their favourite nominees in the following categories: News Presenter Of The Year, Supporting Actor Of The Year, Male Soap Personality Of The Year, Female Soap Personality Of The Year, Reality Programme Of The Year, TV Soap Of The Year, General Entertainment Channel Of The Year, Music Channel Of The Year, News Channel Of The Year, (the "nine categories") at The Asian Television Awards 2014 (the "programme"). You may register your vote by the following methods: All nominations must have been shown on an Asian Television Channel Broadcasting in the UK between 01st August 2013 and 31st July 2014.
Voting Criteria
ALL VOTES AND NOMINATIONS MUST HAVE BEEN SHOWN ON AN ASIAN TELEVISION CHANNEL BROADCASTING IN THE UK BETWEEN 01ST AUGUST 2013 AND 31ST JULY 2014.
Nominations for the following categories:
- News Presenter Of The Year
- Supporting Actor Of The Year
- Male Soap Personality Of The Year
- Female Soap Personality Of The Year
- Reality Programme Of The Year
- TV Soap Of The Year
Will only be valid following these criteria:
- The show MUST have been shown on an Asian Television Channels Broadcasting in the UK between August 01st 2013 and July 31st 2014.
- The show must have be playing its current storyline on an Asian Television Channels Broadcasting in the UK between August 01st 2013 and July 31st 2014 NOT A REPEAT.
NOMINATIONS WILL NOT BE COUNTED AFTER MIDNIGHT ON 31ST JULY 2014
First round Nominations:
Viewers can nominate their favourite candidate in the following nine categories: News Presenter Of The Year, Supporting Actor Of The Year, Male Soap Personality Of The Year, Female Soap Personality Of The Year, Reality Programme Of The Year, TV Soap Of The Year, General Entertainment Channel Of The Year, Music Channel Of The Year, News Channel Of The Year (the "nine categories") at The Asian Viewers Television Awards (AVTA).
Opening Dates - First round nominations:
First round nominations via the AVTA.tv website in the nine categories open on Monday 14th July 2014.
Closing Date - First round nominations:
First round Nominations via the website in each of the nine categories close at midnight Sunday 3rd August 2014.
NOMINATIONS MADE AFTER THIS DATE WILL NOT BE COUNTED.
Second Round voting:
Viewers can vote for their favourite nominee in the following nine categories: News Presenter Of The Year, Supporting Actor Of The Year, Male Soap Personality Of The Year, Female Soap Personality Of The Year, Reality Programme Of The Year, TV Soap Of The Year, General Entertainment Channel Of The Year, Music Channel Of The Year, News Channel Of The Year (the "nine categories") at The Asian Viewers Television Awards.

Second round voting via the website and post in each of the nine categories open on 3rd August 2014
Closing Date - second round voting:
Second round voting via the website and via post in each of the nine categories close on Sunday 31 August 2014.
VOTES MADE AFTER THIS DATE WILL NOT BE COUNTED.
Postal votes
Postal votes must contain the following information:
- Your Full Name, Address, Email Address, Telephone Number.
- Name of the category for which you are nominating or voting.
- The name of the person/channel you are nominating or voting.

NOMINATIONS AND VOTES MADE AFTER SPECIFIED DATES WILL NOT BE COUNTED.

Go to www.atva.tv (the "website") and follow the instructions there. If you do not follow this validation procedure before the deadline as specified, your vote will not be counted. There is no charge when voting via the website, although internet service provider's fees may apply when you access the internet.
Please note that it is not possible to vote via any other method unless otherwise specified.
You do not need to vote in every category for your vote to be valid. You may only vote for one nominee in each category.
SMS Voting:
The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions and to add further voting methods and/or platforms including, without limitation or prior notice.
Voting restrictions:
In each of the voting categories, you may vote only once. If you exceed these limits your vote may not be counted but you may still be charged where applicable. For the avoidance of doubt, capping limits may apply to each individual round of voting and viewers may nominate once in each category during the first round of nominations and once in each category during the second round of voting.
Nominations and Voting:
First round nomination - the nine categories will each allow for the input of one nominee. The top 3 entries with the most nominations will progress through to the Second round.
Second round voting - each of the nine categories will contain a selection of up to 3 nominees. You may only vote for one nominee in each category.
Voting results:
The voting results will represent the accumulated votes achieved in the second round voting stage only. Votes from the general public will account to 80% of the total vote and the other 20% of the votes will be determined by a judging panel of experienced individuals with expertise within the respective fields. In the event of a tie, each of the nominees which receive the joint highest number of votes will share the award for the relevant category.
EACH OF OUR PROCESSES WILL BE AUDITED BY AN EXTERNAL INDEPENDENT BODY TO CONFIRM THE PROCEDURE USED TO DETERMINE WINNERS IS GOOD AND FAIR.
