"I'm not brand conscious who needs a Gucci or a Prada all the time" – Sumona Chakravarti
The immensely talented Sumona Chakravarti got popular for the role of Natasha Kapoor in Badde Achhe Lagte Hai and is now attracting eye balls in Comedy Nights with Kapil. Having a pretty chilled out sense of style in real life, she shared her fashion mantras and what she prefers to wear offscreen.
How would you describe your style?
Confort definitely. Comfort and Style go hand in hand.
What are you most comfortable in?
I'm most comfortable in Shorts and Ganji's.
Which clothing brands do you prefer?
I'm not much of a branded person but yes there are some particular items which I like because of the quality, denims especially. But brands that I like would be Forever New, Bebe, Mango, Zara, Forever 21. I'm someone who can buy from flea markets in Goa, like buying linen stuff too. It should be of a decent quality and comfortable. I'm not brand conscious who needs a Gucci or a Prada all the time.
What will you never be caught dead in?
I will never be caught dead in the weird printed skin tight stockings and leggings. They're very tacky.
What is a major fashion blunder for you?
Not knowing your body type and wearing clothes that doesn't suit you.
If given a chance, with whom would you like to exchange your wardrobe?
Miranda Kerr, the model. I would exchange my body too with her, wadrobe comes next. In India, I like Deepika's style.
Which is the most prized possession in your wardrobe?
A diamond ring which was gifted to me by my mother on my Birthday.
What is your favorite shopping destination in the city and abroad?
In Mumbai, it would be Palladium and Infinity 2. You get every brand over there. I haven't really shopped abroad so I wouldn't comment on that.
What is the next thing on your shopping list?
I would want to own a pair of Jimmy Choo or Louboutin one day. They're super expensive, but even if I have the money, I wouldn't have the heart to wear it but I would like to own one someday.
