@ Red..Wld not Ram be laden with guilt and the burden that his wife who isinnocentis giving birth to his child in horrid conditions..sometimes it is a bigger burden to see a loved one suffer than to see him/her dead..death makes you accept things and move on...
It has happen so when ones loved one is suffering and you cannot do much about it...wld it be easy to raise his daughter happily with his mother in jail?? He was so so helpless and he behaved so crazy at the courts decision of Priya's conviction...Remember the judges incident..it was so irrational...The justice took 5 long years..wld not with each passing day Ram wld be frustrated and mad at himself while seeing Priya suffering..wld he be composed enough to think rationally...So called Priyas death gave him the stringhth to fight..
In hindi death means mukti..which also means freedom from all shackels..death is considered as a reliever to those who are suffering...
With Priya in jail and Ram with his daughter wld have never been happy ever...!! He wld feel so so guilty for the situation..it was his blind trust in Sid that led to all this..seeing Priya suffer day in and dayout wld have made Ram die several deaths everyday..
Regarding phone calls, No in the show they showed her tryin thrice..but Rams dialogues said "itne saare missed calls"...Its not a trueman show that they give some hisab of every minute and detail..
See... Priya was already in two minds that whether she should inform Ram or not...she took Ram's no response as a sign of God and decided to stay away..we all do that when we have some difficult decisions to make.
I don ot see anything wrong in Priya's actions noe do i feel that she was butchered!
