It is so ridiculous . First of all to have a joint account that too before marriage and to keep it active for so long. Understand that the writing team needs interesting modes and action to keep us engrossed but this twist is so ... Anyways they portray Priya to be a intelligent woman but this doesn't add up to her personality.

I hope they stop coming up with such ridiculous twists n turns.

Think of it this way.

Priya, as far as I remember , was working part time, they were contemplating a future together, maybe they were saving money together. And afterwards, Priya felt so upset, grieved as well as humiliated, that she did not want to have anything to do with Ashwin, least of all, sordid money matters. And Ashwin, the eternal opportunist rat, kept it just like that. I think he has the tendency to grab every penny he can.

Would this be too absurd ?

Yes The Option Is Always Either Of The Two Or Second Is Both Sign As In This Case. Vague I Recollect This And Also That More Person Can Have Joint Account.

A joint account need not be operated by both account holders together unless you choose the 4th option.

Or while opening account you can specify a threshhhold withdrawal amount , below which one signature is required but above it both must sign.

Only in case of closing account both must sign, no matter which operating option was chosen.
