i totally agree with u guys. they making joke out of this show. There is so much potential but with all that comedy, they are ruining it.

Yes many a time, I wonder why they always make some caricatures of the punjabi characters and tag them with nonsensical dialogues.

EK must have never visited Punjab in her life and thinks that to introduce certain lines will give a desi touch for people to identify with.

But it has ended up only in ridicule and leaves a bad taste.

Its always better to do proper homework before basing the characters of a particular region, least it ends up with bloopers and ridicules.

it is very true... and it is not only Ektaa .It always happen in this teli industry..which is very disturbing...
Not only punjabi,they show so many weird things about Gujrathi,Bangalee,South indian..marathi..etc...
all around the world different culture's ppl r watching these shows but do they care?yes they can show some fun about every cultures but when it is beyond the limit then it is really sad..and shameful ...

Im Punjabi and when ever the Bole Sonihaal Sasriakal thing comes up, it makes me feel anoyyed and sometimes i feel in serials the directors are insulting our cultre and religion

So if any other religion or cultre watches this show then they must be thinking" wow cant believe Punjabis r so annoying and asking lassi everywhere"

I really want the directors to stop putting characters religions Punjabi and besides if the directors want to then they should do it in a perfect and right way, which means speaking full Punjabi not like Ram's daadi who speaks half Punjabi and half Hindhi

They are really insulting our cultre and religion , they should make a end of this, enough is enough

This Punjabi thing didnt happen only in this serial but also in Ram Milaye Jodi

Im really getting pissed

dey mke a movie abt sardarz or punjabiz & dey look nothing like us

I also agree.

I don't see my family or any of the punjabi families i know behaving in such a way. If its supposed to look like a punjabi wedding atmosphere it should be done properly

it always happens in Ekta land.. its really annoying to c rubbish things abt one's culture, custom without doing any proper research..

as u know everything is overly dramatized on TV and many a times mis-presented .. i m Gujarati.. and the way Gujaratis r protrayed.. it seems as if they have nothing else to eat beyond Khaman Dhokla Patra. .😆😆😆.. and Garbas r certainly not done like the one Dayaben of Ulta Chasma does...😆😆😆 the way Gujaratis hyperact on TV with their most wierd accents, v feel the same way u do..😆.. not all Gujaratis behave or act tht way.. loud, noisy with wierd kinda accent... older generation do have certain accent.. bt not tht much.. 😆... bt younger generation is more sophisticated and well versed..

bt its the way it is on TV.. bt v all know its hyper.. so cool down.. v know and ppl know how punjabis or gujaratis or bengalis or south indians or marathis r in reality..

ppl dont take these things shown on Idiot Box seriously. .otherwise thr wud b morchas all over India and the civil societies wont lay quiet..😆😆😆

i agree.. sorry i am not a punjabi myself (and far from it as i am southern indian) but felt bad when i heard the dialogue yesterday😲... isnt Ekta a kapoor😕. doesn't she know much about her own culture???and Ekta was defintely working on it for 2 years🐷. it is just a hype which was created. they say that dadi came from amristar and they show as if she cam from a village as she gets all that ghee and grain😕..well it is not planned at all. or just that creative writer's imagination is running away with his pen.🤣

Even i feel its shameful & sad... knowing very well that aishwarya rai , shilpa shetty, sridevi , jayaprada , hemamalini , vijayantimala and many more good looking ladies are from south origin , they always consider south Indians as dark color & only rice eating once ... recently in comedy circus they showed shwetha acted as sbouth indian dancer ... putting full black color with bharthanatyam costume...
