Yesterday's episode showcased the differences of Rama and Priya as well as their cute moments together when they agreed on minor points. Ram must have nearly got a heart attack seeing clutter and mess of Priya's room, an affliction he soon needs to get over.
The proprietorship of his room is one of the many things he needs to relenquish.
It was like a room with a view. A room that contrasted the nature of Ram and Priya very well, their organised way, their personal touches. through the scene I cldn't help imagine ram's room too. The stark,dark coloured room so much reflecting Ram's personality was diametrically opposite to Priya's which was bright and cheerful. It was one shared by her siblings too, but definitely having her own touch.
The end of the scene dialogue said it all!! " Kamra share karne mein aapko thakleef hai. Aur hum yahan zindhagi share karne ki baat karrahen hain". Wonderful lines that really hit Ram; the enormity of the situation he was getting into; a wake up call for him about what marriage really is.
This room scene beautifully potrayed what marriage is really for a woman. Leaving her establised roots, getting uprooted to grow and adjust in totally different environment and find strong footing.
A change of room, a house, a surname and even a life is not always easy for a woman.But its the norm and that which is deeply ingrained, which she naturally does with all elan and ease. For a man though its hard to understand this feeling and view it as more an invasion of his room and privacy: which is what RAM showed.
A room with two different view points. Two lives that have to give and take and make the institution of marriage a success.
