Ram says sadly-yeh sab meri galti hai..agar mainey teri baat maan lii hoti toh aisa kabhi nahin hota vikram! VIKRAM IS TAKEN aback to see tears in his friend's and says trying to assure him-tu aisa kyun keh raha hai ram! Chinta matt kar ram..priya ko kuch nahin hoga! RAM STARES AT VIKRAM..the screen blacks out..ITS LATE in the night..ram was walking alone in the empty corridor of the hospital..he had sent all of his family members back and asked karthik to take his family back too..he wanted to stay but ram had insisted on him to leave as he knew that priya's parents were too shaken by the incident! VIKRAM walks upto ram with a two cups of coffee..he hands one to ram and smiles..ram takes it flashing back a faint smile..RAM SITS and vikram too sits next to him..sipping his coffee he turns to ram and finds him fiddling with the cup..VIKRAM SAYS-ram..tu thak gaya hoga..coffee ley le.. RAM NODS his head and takes a sip..turning to vikram ram he looks at him silently..but vikram had known ram too long to understand what was going on in his mind..putting a hand on his shoulder he says softly-ram..jo hua uske liye tu khud ko blame matt kar..aur ab toh sab kuch theek ho raha hai..nuts aur karthik ka rishta bhi judd gaya hai..tu dekhna..priya bilkul theek ho jayegi..RAM NODS HIS head and keeping the cup aside..he walks upto the room where priya was admitted..standing by the door he stares into the room at priya lying tied up in all bandages..opening the door..he walks in and upto priya as she lay unconscious in the bed..reaching to where she was..ram gazes at her and slowly takes out the ring from his pocket and stares at it longingly..slowly and carefully he takes priya's hand in his and slides back the ring in her fingre!

VIKRAM NODS HIS HEAD AND stares at the closed door of priya's room..wishing that everything falls back into place for his best friend!...THERE INSIDE THE ROOM..RAM had reached upto the place where priya lay unconscious in the bed..and as he stood just inches away from her..he could see her breathe slow and shallow..AND THE SAME FEAR WHICH RAM HAD Experienced years ago..began to grip his mind and heart again as thd memories of that ill-fated night came storming back at ram in bits and pieces..RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE of that empty road and rainy night..NISHA..ram's college best friend had breathed her last in his arms..and her untimely demise had left ram's life wounded long time ago..but tonight almost two decades later..THE SCARS OF THAT incident had begun to feel raw and fresh..in college Ram was close to vikram and nisha only and after losing her..ram was left broken and disabled..but slowly and thanks to vikram's support and his father's help..ram had overcome that loss..BUT TONIGHT AS HE stared at priya as she fought for life..he wanted her to win this battle with death..and not just because it would spare him some guilt of the fact that nisha died because of him..but also because he wanted her to be with him for the rest of his life!..SLOWLY and carefully ram lifts priya's hand and takes it into his..
