The restaurant scene was perfect! Ram wiping the glass, he resembled a teddy bear microscope doing that (I know there's no such thing but still lol)..I like the sarcastic understone of their convos, and the fact that it's not caustic!

The bindi scene was, ORIGINAL, I loved it!

The lift scene was decent too, it's a good thing Ram didnt go into the Swooon mood right now, and just looked irritated.

PS- Doesnt Nutz look like a goblin, or is it just me again?

@bold: Ditto...majorrr points to Kekta for the bindi scene cuz it was deffo ORIGINAL...for precisely the reason that neither of them went into swoon/shy mode there also...LOL...just like later on in the lift...they aren't unncessarily romanticizing anything yet...their interactions are sarcastic but there is a hidden camaraderie I can sense always lurking beneath the surface😆...take the bindi scene for example...there's a brief bit in b/w when Ram goes, "dikhao dikhao" and gestures for her to move her hand so he can see where the bindi is😆...how easily they fall into that pattern...adorable they are😆

As for Nuts...LMAO...she toh looks like a cross b/w a goblin and Selena Gomez as someone else pointed out earlier in this thread too I think😆😆

Great post, Vasu! The scene like the bindi scene was so simple, cute, funny and poignant at the same time. This is what I was looking for between this couple after watching the promos. 😊

Their whole convo was damn hilarious 🤣 Ram cleaning the glass, him making that face leaving Priya all squirmy for her titled bindi 🤣 Priya's long long lecture on importance of rain and he's like 🤣 So cuuute!! 😍

Even the lift scene... though I wonder why none of the two corrected that aunty for mistaking them as a "couple" 🤔

Shipra has left a mark of her facemask on the sofa 😳 Another reason for Ram to freak out thinking about the cleanliness of his sister's future home 😆

I wonder how 2 volatile personalities like Nuts and Karthik can be compatible enough for marriage. Their conflicts is surely going to reflect upon Ram-Priya r'ship. In good way and bad way, both.

Hey,
I am new to this forum, hope you dont mind my hopping in...
I really loved your analysis about the whole episode... esp the interaction between Ram and Priya...
My fav. exchange was
Priya: "12 not possible... kyonki hamein Police station mein haaziri lagani hoti hai..."
Ram: comically hands up in defeat "theek hai abse nahi jaana padega aapko..."
very nicely done that was 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I agree that the other characters are way too cliched and typical of Ekta... esp the 2 moms and all..
As for Kartik and 'Nuts'... somehow their love story doesnt seem very convincing... a level-headed focused guy like Kartik liking Nuts for no apparent reason other than she is a whacko?? 😕... and Nuts & Niharika, so arrogant and up-tight and class-conscious and driven, yet ready to go to a middle class house for no other reason than the fact that Nuts wants it?
I dotn know how they can show a well-etched out, nuanced love story alongside one which is sooo cliched, dramatic and overly theatrical...

Lovely analysis,Vasu👍🏼
Loved the restaurant scene. Priya's clumsiness was so endearing😳 & Ram was like a naughty schoolboy whose mom had extracted a promise from him to be good that day but was finding it a mammoth task😆 Loved loved his childlike meaness when he was thrilled to see Priya trip.😆 Well, she had been picking on him with her "motu"barbs.😆
During the lift scene I adored his expression when the old lady said ,"Bahut acchi jodi hain".It was like,"Who? Me? How come me?" Cho Chweeet! Wanted to pull his cheeks.Awww... Ram, Sweetie! Don't sell yourself so short.😳
I wont bother with the other random characters🥱 But Sudhir was a bit sensible today.
On the downside I was saddened to see Priya under subtle pressure trying to cope with the hoity toity Kapoor lot. I loved the carefree happy queen in her own world Priya of Monday.Dont know what happen's when this lot becomes her new family
I had a request to make. There is this background score which was played even yesterday when they are apologising in the restaurant. It first played when she first called him a Dinosaur.😆 Could you err... what do you call it? Rip it for me? Please? Pretty Please? Thanks😃

What I liked abt yesterday's episode was the little nuances that were depicted abt RP's characters. Whether its Ram's OCD and pill popping or Priya's discomfort at being dolled up. Very nicely done!
I havent watched many shows depicting romance recently apart from LTL. I know many shows are supposed be popular for their romance like Pavitra Rishta, Navya, GHSP, PKYEK but atleast in Star One shows Ive never seen them focus on the character nuances. I am not sure what Ekta does these days for her shows but when I last watched a K show the characters used to be superfluous and we had to be told about the character. Even that used to sketchy like he is arrogant and egotistic, she is sweet and god fearing. Good to see some effort being made on thoughtful direction.

Hey guys, great analyses! 👏👏

On the bindi scene:

I agree with all of you that the bindi scene was very original - I too was expecting EK to do the typical thing where Ram would eventually move across the table and fix her bindi for her and then go into eye-lock mode for twenty minutes. SO glad they didn't do that, if only because it would have been comical to see Ram trying to reach across the table and would have spoiled the mood 😆😆 But in any case, Ram's OCD nature (and I am more and more convinced that he does, in fact, suffer from OCD) would NEVER allow him to touch a stranger he might think is a little weird 😆 So I really quite liked that scene and how they kept it true to their characters. Initially Priya fixed it and went along because she was awkward about being so dressed up, then the prolonged focus on it simply made her irritated 😆

@Anu - love your post and agree with most of it. So you liked the final lift scene? Acha hai, me - I was just focused on the aunty's bad acting and really contrived way of bringing RP together 😆

Ram and Priya are really cute. Ram with his OCD behavior, his hyper and sensitive behavior about his weight and sarcastic comments to Priya's retorts...too good. Priya behaves very out of character when she's with Ram, I bet she never calls anyone else names or taunts them...its only Ram who manages to bring out 😈 side in her. I like that, that the hero is not perfect, the heroine is not Ms Goody Two Shoes and am looking forward to some great scenes and dialogues between them.

Hey Suganthi - I agree, it seems to be only Ram that brings out this mischievous side of her 😆 and on the flip side, it seems to be only Priya that drives Ram up the wall to the point of high BP 😆 I so like the fact that here it is the guy who seems to be the disapproving, slightly snobbish, mahaan-feeling one, rather than the traditional girl.

Hello..I am new here, and I just finished watching this week's episodes, and I have to agree with you guys about Ran and Priya being amazing, while the rest of the cast/scenes are plain meh..Hi Mahi - great to see you here! Do stick around...

The bindi scene was adorable...if it was any other show, there would have been some effort at his aiming to fix it himself, but rather it showed aspects of their characters, and the absolute awkwardness of two adults trying to smooth things over. Especially when she landed the bindi in the plate, her mother would have killed her if she ever knew. Exactly - I love that they stuck true to RP's characters and didn't go overboard and kill the scene with HAWTNESS. RP are not hormonal teenagers that the mere touch of the other person would cause them to hyperventilate. Well...maybe it was cause Ram to hyperventilate, but only because he would probably want to scrub his face with glass-cleaning disinfectant 🤣 🤣🤣 What I adored about that scene was how R couldn't let her go with making her pick the bindi up off the plate 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Oh and speaking of, how sweet is both their social awkwardness? While Ram's social awkwardness is more obvious with his OCD behaviour, I love how they show that in her own subtle way Priya is also socially inept. She does not like being dressed up and she recognizes that, while hilarious, it is not right to insult strangers on stairwells. And when she trips wearing heels, it is just adorable. It doesn't even occur to Ram to move to catch her, even instinctively because things like that don't occur to him (case in point the shopping bags). You are so right - it didn't seem like a deliberate and mean snub because there was no forethought to it. He didn't even consider the reflexive move. I did like his little laugh though - maybe he finally felt on an even footing with her, no pun intended 😆
Also, is the little sister-Selena Gomez lookalike- psychotic? I missed quite a few episodes in the middle purposely, but, was she appealing when she was falling in love with Karthik? Now that you mention it, she does look a little like Selena Gomez but at least SG's face has this sweetness that Nuts's face lacks. They didn't really show the falling in love part, thank GOD, but since the minute we've seen her, Nuts has been way weird.

Minus this^^^^ i think i enjoyed the Entire Episode. I better not talk abt Shipra as i would just end up insulting her ...so 🤬

About Ram and Priya i loved both the Scenes. The Restaurent one and also the Tiny Miny Lift Scene. The Bindi thing was Good, i was so wishing to not see him go and help her with it and am glad we didnt get that. And then she ultimately puts that on the Plate and Ram's Werido expression
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Priya listing her mistakes and Ram's horrified expression🤣 OMG ... and that waiter being there was sone pe suhaga thing. I can imagine how annoyed he would have been on priya for doing that🤣 But she was so Innocent while she narrated all that. And then the soon to start War which was very calmly handled this time ... was the Barish one🤣 Poor Ram had to visit his school classes again. Am sure he might have felt like a student while she spoke about Irrigation and Middle-Class ppl🤣🤣🤣. Then the while he asks if they could come at 12, her instant reply saying "barah nahii ... woh kya hai naa barah baje hazri dene police station jana hai"🤣🤣🤣🤣 Had her mom been there she would have got heart attack seeing Priya and Ram attack each other like this🤣🤣🤣🤣

Then the trip and Smile ... Am sure Ram is gonna get this point to her notice soon and she might feel awkward then.

The Lift Scene and that Aunty ... OMG
🤣🤣🤣 i shall thank the Aunty for being there and saying all that🤣🤣🤣 Unhein Bhoolne ki bimari hai" "Pills milte hai uske, main driver ke haath bhej dunga"🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

In all i loved this Episode for just these 2 - Priya n Ram

As you had succintly put all the points together, theres nothing else left for me to type except maybe DITTO.
But one thing Iam greatly impressed in yesterday's episode was Ram and Priya's emotional quotient.
RAM clearly was miles ahead in facial expressions, be it his OCD, his mischevious smile at Priya's trip, the love for Nuts and helplessness at seeing his family's behaviour, the utter contempt for Shipra, the pill for all malady, and the discomfort at being made a jodi along with Priya.
Priya was equally up to the task with her display of range of emotions and but Ram was a notch higher.

Hey maris - lol, yesman or no-man, I'm glad you're here to express your views! 😆 These two do have excellent EQ, don't they? I really loved the scene where Priya was flittering around the house doing all the set-up. I drowned out Shipra's voice and focused on P, and her excitement for Karthik was very motherly and really touched me.

Just watched it now!. What I liked abt the shw was showing the real emotions of the actors . Ram and Priya were really good. Liked the banter btwn them. Ram idiosyncrasy abt the cleaning the glass was so good. True to his character of a guy born with a silver spoon in his mouth.Priya's dialogues were good too. She doesn't idolize him but puts him in his place with her intelligent answers. I liked her in the pink salwar kameez. Ayesha too looked gorgeous.

Shipra continues to play the silly, greedy, insensitive Mom to thre hilt.Ram's stepmom really can add salt to the wound by telling that her sage bhai has to be there. If that was the case why didn't she send him in the first place?😡 Out of the lot only Nat seems to be close to Ram!.
Hope Ram sees that his family is using him and doesn't have an iota of love for him.
I loved the Bindi scene very much!!!👏

Hi Aviva - lovely analysis! Ram's mother is as much an opportunist as Shipra. (btw, could someone remind me of R's mother's name??) She sends Ram out as the gopher to do her bidding because he has the money and the status (since he is the one who earned it and can command the respect from it), and then when he comes back successful, she passes the "real job" on to the "sagaa bhai" who could care less. Apart from R, his mother and Nuts, we don't really know much about R's family - certainly not as much as P's family. For example, what was up with R's other sister's expression when her mother told her that R had fixed the wedding? In some ways I'm glad that they haven't fleshed these characters out because they are just too annoying at this stage, but in other ways, I find it hard to gauge their motives for anything.

I am slowly turning into a Ram Kapoor fangirl!!! the dude actually LOLed when Priya tripped!!! 😆 😆

Mru - lol, I think I too am becoming a Ram fangirl 😆 he really does excellently well with every expression of his 😆

@kishpi - thanks! 😳
@Abhi - lol, a goblin? 😆 you know what, she kinda does! 😆😆
@shreya - oh yeah! Shipra left a bit of her mask on the chair...what's the betting that Ram sits there?! 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆

@deejayaqueel - Hi! Welcome to the forum; we certainly don't mind you joining in!

I did love that 12 o'clock scene 😆 and Ram's forced grin throughout the whole episode (is that him trying to be calm???) along with the subtle roll of the eyes made it all the funnier 😆. I think that was my favourite dialogue of the whole episode 😆

SPOT ON about the Nuts-Karthik mismatch which does not make sense on any level. For one thing, when and how did they meet?! Are we to believe that FAMOUS FASHION DESIGNER NATASHA KAPOOR and a random middle class boy from nowhere just met at a nightclub? And more, fell in love? Not only is their relationship a cliche, it is barely a relationship! We've seen them share merely two scenes in the whole show and in both of them they were at it like cats and dogs. I am not sure of the future of this relationship, but as long as their future is far, FAR away from us and RP, I couldn't care less 😆

Hey Zuby! Aw, I think I missed the expression of Ram's - will watch it again today. I am sure he pulled it off with aplomb.

Yes, I will definitely rip it as soon as I get a chance! 😳

@kshreya - hey! Great point. Generally EK's romances were - in the past - fresh enough if a little mahaan and OTT. But then she used that formula in EVERY SINGLE SHOW and so did everyone else in telly-land, so they became the modern cliches 😆 so far I am glad that they are sticking to a slightly different pitch here and trying to make even traditionally cliche scenes a little hatke. Aage dekhti hai kya hoga...

Nice update.
I must say I have watched RP scenes especially their first meeting like loads of times laughing like an idiot 🤪and my mom keeps popping into my room to see if I am ok 😆
Ram and his obsession for cleanliness reminds me of Korean Superstar Rain's role in Full House. Rain's character was obsessed with cleaning and germs, it was funny. However Ram is just cute, one minute he is irritated, the next angry and then calm, totally adorable😳
Priya oh my she is so gutsy, she can take Ram down with her bare hands but she is just being too nice. She is perfect for Ram and I love how she speaks her mind and doesn't let anyone bring her spirit down. She is a real Spice Girl 😛
I like this approach to the lead meeting and eventually getting together, it's somewhat more natural as in their conversation. Ram and Shashki are just spot on and the younger actors should take lead from them on how to act and react.
