@ piya. Agree! Thinking about another person in place of RAM is in dud. He also doing tremendous job with his role. Chalo samir could not get it no remorse for that but glad to hear that he got offered new show by ekta.

I agree i always wanted Jassi to end up with Purav ...( I am a fan of Apurva but i never liked Arman Kohli) Anyways Sameer Soni best of luck . hope ur new show works on Colors ...

I also felt that he was better than Armaan Sir. His acting was fantastic.

Don't get me wrong I love Ram Kappoor too.

I think Ram fits the bill perfectly for this role and anyways the characters and serial was created keeping Ram and Sakshi in mind anyway so Sameer Soni can't have been offered the role, Sakshi was offered the show 4 months after Kahaani but wanted to take a break and Ram was offered it after Kasamh Se if I'm not mistaken but due to other commitments he couldn't take the show then.

Ram has stated in the interview that the role of Ram & Priya was based on Ram & sakshi only & Ekta waited for both of them to agree before launching the show.

I agree Ram being out of shape now is looking older than he actually is but I think RK is a better actor than Sameer, I have seen Sameer in Jassi but there is something about Ram that pulls you :)

I think Ram and Saakshi fit the rule and my eyes have glued them in registered them in so no one cud replace the role being played by Ram !
So no comments and they have taken the right choice for the roles !

My intention was definitely not to strike a comparison. Its true that my title was misleading. There is no doubt about Sameer sony being a good actor. But there are roles which will suit only a few. It was said that SRK was offered the role of Munnabhai first. If so, would it have turned out to be a cult clasic? I doubt whether anyone other than Sanjay dutt could have done justice to the role. Here in BALH, the characters are middle aged (though I sincerely don't think 30s or 40s is a middle age) and for me its just Ram kapoor who can play the role of a shrewd entreprenuer, a doting brother and that of a lonely individual.
