I agree with all of you that both the mothers seemed partial towards their younger ones.. its too early to say anything about saakshi's mother but atleast her father seemed to be the loving kind.. he called her to share the good news.. i feel sorry for Ram because he has no one in his family who genuinely thinks about him.. By the way i dont like the casting of Ram's mother she seems Ram's age.. I was surprised when he said Ma.. May be a step mother?? who knows

Is Ram's mom his step-mom? Seems like that as the way she said "ladki ka bara bhai for Siddhant." And in this day and age of competition and money, anything is possible.

I have seen both types, mother and step moms that treat all there kids equal and also step moms that have treated the step kids horribly. And then there are mothers who loves her kids but you can tell that she favours some one than other just with the subtle behaviour that she engages in. I know a girl whose mother-in-law has a younger step sister. When her MIL visits her she is not that nice to her and when her step aunt visits she always comments why can't her MIL be loving like the step aunt. So what Ekta is trying to show does exist but her portrayal is such extreme. Usually most horrible step parents would be all nice nicey in front of other people so as not to make it obvious to others that they are mean.

Once again apt post Shilpi👍🏼
I will not talk about this real & step mom issue, but i will rather say something which has no connection with the show, but just felt like sharing.
When i came to UK 5yrs. ago,i saw this weird thing, small kids aabout 2-3yrs. old are having this strap tied in their one hand & the other part of that strap is in their mom's & dad's hand. That was the biggest cultural shock for me.
I even managed to ask few moms(ofcourse controling my anger) that why such need & their answer was they do so much masti ,they are very active ,so kind of hindrance during shopping ,besides if they break something then all the more loss money wise. This is easy way to control them, just pull the strap & the kid is running behind u like a doggy.
The worst was many of them were indians who are settled here.
Now,we know that small kids always register everything in their subconscious,so tell me if this kids grow up & behaves badly with their parents ,then who is to blame?KUMATA or KUPUTRA?
As for ur topic, this is Ekta's show so u can always expect the worst😆.But,really Ram's step-mom casting is totally wrong. That lady looks almost same age as Ram.😆
As for Priya's mom,it is very commonly observed that oider child is always burdened with responsibilty & many times neglected & expected to understand the situation. So,her dulaar towards her younger daughter is nothing new that we haven't heard of😆,but like many of u pointed out, hopefully it won't be shown OTT.😛
